The original kitchen was a cramped space with a full size bathroom and laundry room separating it from the main family room. By relocating the laundry room, opening up all the walls and adding a structural beam one open kitchen was possible. The couple were avid cooks and entertained in a cooking club - therefore function was high on their list along with multi-zone cooking. The convection burners in the island allow for multiple cook zone along with the prep sink. Semi-custom cabinets in a wash with glaze combine Juparana Gold granite along with a tumbled marble backsplash complete the soft look.
