Mediterranean Kitchen, Chicago

A couple's shared Italian heritage and their frequent travels to Venice and Tuscany fueled the design inspiration for this lovely sunlit home. The stair runner was chosen to set the color scheme in motion. Golds, ambers, terra cottas and sage greens spill from room to room. The award winning quilted oversized cornices in the great room add warmth to a vaulted ceiling. The sitting room rug off the kitchen has a custom felted wool border. The lower level has aggregate flooring with glass inlaid tiles inspired from a tile mural in Ravena, Italy. Family and friends are often invited to share in epicurean delights. It pleases me when I hear that my clients are enjoying and sharing their new environment.
