I absolutely love raku-fired pottery. Since I don’t own a kiln, nor am I a pottery artist, trying to capture the essence of them in a painting was my goal. Each of the three paintings are on 18 inch x 24 inch x 1.5 inch museum quality gallery wrapped canvas (54 inches overall width). I used steel grey, black and white colored acrylic paint only, mixing them to achieve an elegant color and feeling. The texture is created with acrylic mediums.
