Chris Ambrose’s Cronulla Dual Occupancy design has earned a commendation in the dual occupancy category of the BDAA Sydney Regional Chapter Design Awards 2020. Ambrose is the principal building designer and director of CDA Building Design Solutions Pty. Ltd. Judges praised Ambrose’s comprehensive set of design drawings, and his accomplishment of a design with difficult orientation - north to street, with south facing internal and external living areas. This expansive, modernistically elegant design was deemed to be possessing of thoughtful detailing internally; eg, the kitchen colour palette, dropped bulkhead ceiling, skylights over the stairwell, etc.
