Yes they are real wood, but you have to choose very wisely - your designer can advise you

Engenous Mirror Storage - This space is so well thought out with the wall mounted taps, floating timber shelf and white (storage?) under sinks. The art work is so string and bold in colour reflected on the dark grey tiles. Lit up with the natural light from the skylight. I could happily use this space each day with a smile on my face!!

Other spots you could add storage in a small ensuite include above the toilet, within the bath surround (a great spot for a recessed niche), or on the wall next to the bath (perfect for glass display shelves). Also, if you’re having a vanity custom made, be sure to have it designed to maximise storage; have the basin positioned to one side of the unit rather in the middle so you can add in extra drawers. 2. Light fantasticLighting has become an important factor in bathroom design, largely thanks to the emergence of LED technology. Instead of a single overhead light, lighting is layered throughout the room to create ambience, define the various task zones, and highlight interesting details. Think motion-sensor lights installed at floor level, and glowing LED strips concealed within decorative wall niches or tucked under joinery. Or go all-out with smartphone-controlled coloured mood lighting.
