Traditional Raised Shaker - Sandy

Contemporary, Essex

We give you a warm welcome to this delightful location in Sandy, where the property was built in 1976 to an individual design. What you will see is a well-proportioned room with high ceilings which is the perfect place for a handmade kitchen! Our clients also commissioned a sleek new extension that artfully blended the old with the new and was designed to forge a stronger connection to the outdoors with floor-to-ceiling windows on either side and a glass roof. Since our lovely clients moved into their forever home, the last year has been non-stop with the renovation works and each room has been designed with love and attention to detail. Before moving in, the property was neglected and needed some TLC. Fast forward to a year in the making, this property is now our client’s dream family home. We worked with interior designer Rita at Black Square Interiors on this project. When it came to the kitchen style, the couple set their hearts on our Traditional shaker with a raised panel. It’s such a beautiful design concept and even more so when seen in a room of this size. Ourselves and our client have well and truly embraced the current penchant for pink in this stunning space and, upon walking into this room, your eyes will turn immediately to the gentle dusky pink island. This delicate pink is Light Peachblossom by Little Greene. Flint by Little Greene is the complementing paint choice in this colour scheme. This sophisticated warm white is a pure mineral, beautiful in kitchens and combines with many hues on the colour spectrum. Another one of our projects bringing you Neff’s latest design. What other exciting features could we bring to the space? It’s the new colourway, Graphite-Grey by Neff. Although the island is a fascinating feature the square bay window is truly breathtaking. Flush windowsills are a lovely detail you don’t often see, but when our client saw this in one of our previous projects it blew their mind. They thought about how else they could bring natural light into this large space and we came up with the idea to seamlessly run the worktop through to the window ledge. This room was originally quite dull so adding areas that can bring in natural light is a winner for all.
