"the best experience I have ever had",
we know that our dedication to raising the bar for customer service satisfaction has been achieved. Thank you for becoming part of our extended DAGR family with your repeat business. It is truly an honor.
Unfortunately in this case, due to a continuing series of misunderstandings and miscommunication, we didn’t have the opportunity to move to the design phase of the project. Instead, after we were unable to clarify important aspects of the process, including an offer to complete the 3D design phase without an upfront deposit, we felt it was in everyone’s best interest to terminate the project before it even got started and promptly refunded the clients’ initial earnest deposit.
Our 3D design phase is unique to DAGR Design. It’s what takes the guesswork out of the project and definitively answers the question, “What exactly will my design look like in MY home?”. It’s a time-intensive process that requires significant skill and talent — we do require a fee that applies toward the cost of the area, to cover those costs. But, to be clear, we never finish the design process until our clients are 100% happy and excited to move forward with their project. We simply don’t accept “good enough” as an outcome. This 3D Design meeting is done in person, removing the stress from the typical back and forth communication that is standard from other companies. Our design process prompted one of our clients to express, “...the kitchen is the heart of the home, but a DAGR designed media wall is the soul.”
It’s also an unfortunate reality that we have many imitators and, in order to protect our intellectual property, we’re careful about releasing designs. Consequently, our website only shows a fraction of our work. We use our expanded portfolio to help clients zero in on their wish lists and vision. We would never infer that a client might “steal” our work.
Even though this series of events and the outcome are exceedingly rare for us, we also objectively view this as a “learning opportunity” for our entire team. We continuously work to raise the bar of our customer service by reviewing our systems, discussing at length how we might improve our communication and what additional steps we can take to eliminate unique situations like this from reoccurring. We believe that no matter how long you have been in business or how hard you work, there is always opportunity for growth and improvement.
We wish the Johnstons the best in their home remodel and thank them for considering us for this project.
