David and his dedicated team were an absolute joy to work with on the renovation of our family home. Thanks to the wonderful collaboration we had with David, our home is not only beautiful (as you can see from pictures on Houzz (East Malvern project) as well as on David’s website (www.hartbuilders.com.au)) but also incredibly functional for our family of 5 and a dream to entertain guests. Thanks to David's vast experience and creative yet practical solutions, our family home has an amazing flow. Our renovation was on time, on budget and a fun process! Dave and his team took on our bathroom renovation project and we couldn't be happier with the final product. We were kept informed about progress throughout the build and welcomed on-site to see how things were going. Dave managed the works so smoothly and finished them a few days earlier than expected, which was a happy surprise. As was the clean up - you couldn't tell a building team had even been there! The quality of work is spot on. The tiling work is beautiful, the herringbone wall in particular! Everyone loves the bathroom and wants one just like it! Thanks Dave and team for making what could have been a stressful time stress free and easy.

We have just completed a 1st floor extension + a complete renovation of our villa in Black Rock, including a new kitchen and 2 new bathrooms. After a fairly stressful design and approval process, we were dreading the build phase. But I'm happy to say that working with Dave and his team was stress free and was the easiest part of the whole process! Dave was professional, respectful, honest and was willing to make last minute changes as requested. But the best part was the fantastic job they did - we are very happy in our new home. Hart Builders completely revonated our main bathroom. From the start to the finish Dave was honest ,adaptable, knowledgeable, highly professional and a pleasure to have in our home. All his tradesman were skilled and considerate. Any issue that arose was never a problem just quickly sorted out. Dave from Hart Builders was very easy to work with. Whilst most people describe building a house as stressful experience, I found it to be an exciting and easy experience. Dave took less than 12 months to build us our dream home. There was never any pressure to make decisions and we had regular on site meetings. All of Dave’s tradies were friendly & did a great job. We love the light filled house that Dave built us.

Dave and his team were first class, very happy to recommend Hart Builders. Our renovation was not without challenges, a very narrow semi-detached Edwardian period house with extremely limited rear access. This posed no issue for the build and Dave was very professional with our neighbours to reduce the impact on them. What we are most grateful for was the flexibility Dave allowed, we had bought our own plans to Dave and he worked through them with us to get us the results we were after. Nothing and I mean nothing was ever a problem or an issue that couldn't be resolved. The build was finished on time, just before Christmas 2017. This was our first renovation and I actually look forward to renovating again if the opportunity arises so I guess that best sums up our overall satisfaction.

Hart Builders - Dave, was great from start to finish. Dave put in a new bathroom, laundry WIR and ensuite for us in 2017. I highly recommend him - he was always efficient, cost effective & we finished ahead of time. He was extremely helpful & thankfully suggested under floor heating for our ensuite. Personally, I thought he was great, because we were living through the renovation, and he and his crew were always respectful. The result is great - we love our new rooms.

Guys did a great job. Their pricing was competitive, the quality of their work was great and they were on time. I'd highly recommend them.

Dave managed the extension build of our 3 bedroom house in a metro area (originally built in 1910). He organised the tradies, managed the site, managed communication and liaised with the neighbours. We couldn't be more pleased with how our project ran, and more importantly, the end result. Dave had to manage a lot of challenges on this project, and the plans he was given had some really ambitious design features, such as a floating wall. He managed this with great skill. We wanted to use some new-to-market materials at the time which he also enthusiastically jumped on board with. There were a number of decisions we needed to make throughout the project and he guided us through them and can work with his tradies to "think out of the square" to help create solutions to problems that will inevitably come up in a large renovation of an old house. There were many great recommendations on his part - my favourite is having a heater duct coming out of the kickboard of the cabinetry under the kitchen sink. So when I'm washing the dishes in winter, I'm rewarded with warm feet! His tradies are quality tradespeople which we spent a bit of time with because we did our own painting and worked alongside them on days. He is also fast and efficient. Dave was always respectful to all. Our neighbours had a newborn, so he was sure to give them plenty of notice of what days were going to be big, noisy days. Trustworthy, knowledgeable, skillful, friendly, efficient and respectful. We highly recommend him for your renovation or build.

I have worked with Hart Builders to complete photography of their finished projects and showcase their craftsmanship and exterior finishes. The work they do is of high quality and it has been a pleasure to work with them! As a photographer, having a client who communicates clearly and is professional in their business, makes it very satisfying. I highly recommend David and his team.
