About Us

Urban Design+Remodel specializes in coaching and communicating with clients during the entire renovation process from forming the design team through the final move-in touches. Project costs are always driven by the overall square footage, floor plan revisions and client selections. Bathrooms are driven by the location for plumbing revisions and foundation type. Hall bathrooms can range between $10,000 - $24,000. Master bathrooms can range from $20,000 - $60,000+. Kitchens can range from $25,000 - $75,000+ depending on appliance, cabinetry and counter top selections. Entire home renovations range in cost depending on whether the changes are structural or cosmetic. We focus on the budgeting process and assist clients in prioritization and the pros and cons of each option. Our projects range from Modern, Mid-Century Modern to Transitional design. In addition to offering a full-range of construction services, we offer sustainable and energy-wise solutions and set ourselves apart with extraordinary customer service.

Laura Fetrow is truly a professional. I've known her for years but this was the first time we'd worked together. Not only does she walk the talk when it comes to integrity and what is best for the client she also has the best subs I've ever had on a job. They were polite and considerate, and they really took pride in the quality of their work. The house was well cared for while in renovation mode, and when we moved back in it was pristine. It's never fun to have to move out of your house and work around all the mess, but the end result is worth it. We now have a wonderfully fresh, crisp new interior for our home that makes it feel like a brand new house. Thanks for all your care Laura.

Laura and her team did an amazing job on our master bathroom remodel. We were hesitant to go into another remodeling project due to a bad experience we had in the past. However, Laura put our anxieties at ease with her professionalism and knowledge. Everyone on her team was highly skilled and brought expert level craftsmanship to our project. We would highly recommend Urban Design + Remodel and will be using them again as we continue to improve our house.

Laura Fetrow is a shinning star among Dallas area general contractors. She listens to her clients, hires good designers and subcontractors and provides plenty of supervision to get the job done right. My company has designed gardens for several of Laura's projects and we hope to do many more.

We were extremely pleased with the results of our complete home remodel from Urban Design + Remodel. Laura Fetrow and her team delivered a very detailed project, both on time and on budget. Laura's very knowledgable and passionate about her work and is very hands on during the project. When issues arose as they do with any remodel, Laura was able to communicate solutions and options to help us achieve the end result without sacrificing our design esthetic. I met Laura when I lived in Dallas and was rehabbing high end investment properties for myself and other real estate investors. I had the opportunity to personally visit a half dozen of her renovation projects. Laura has a level of attention to detail that blew my mind, both in the way that she manages her projects and runs her business. As a fellow builder take pride in holding high standards, I would happily trust Laura and her team at Urban Design to manage the renovation of my own personal home.

I highly recommend Urban Design + Remodel. We contracted with Laura to completely tear down and rebuild 2 bathrooms along with some revisions to our landscape. The bathroom work included revisions to the plumbing in the slab (cut through and dig out), moving walls, custom built cabinets, paint, tile, and fixtures. Laura truly listens to the client to determine your vision for the project and helps you shape your vision where you need guidance. She is frequently onsite and the communication with you is a constant flow. Laura sources from the best suppliers in the city to provide a truly top notch outcome, and she is very detail oriented. She'll provide you a complete record of the project when the project is finished and guarantees the workmanship. You can see one of our baths in the photo gallery (look for the white tropical leaf wall hanging).

After speaking with several recommended contractors for our project, we met Laura Fetrow of Urban Design and Remodel and were blown away. She was very helpful in explaining the entire construction process and timeline to us as this was our first renovation. Throughout the entire renovation, she was in constant communication, very responsive, kept us up to date on the timeframe and costs and patiently answered our numerous questions. We enjoyed working with her and her team so much that we decided to have additional work done to our home beyond the original scope of the project. She really wants you to be pleased with the completed work and will correct something if you don't like it or if she isn't satisfied with the finished product. I have recommended Laura to close friends and won't hesitate to call her again when we are ready for round two! She's the best!

Laura and her team have completed several remodeling projects for us since 2012 (two bathroom remodels, hardwood floor installation and a back patio addition) and we are beyond satisfied. She is professional, responsive, honest and fun to work with! Her subcontractors are the best you can find and she has helped make our house a beautiful home. Commented: What is the concrete color/finish technique?It is a stained concrete treatment. It is a mix of gray and terracotta which you can't see because it is dusk in the picture.
