About Us

We are a husband and wife team, who recently relocated from New York City. We are excited to work in Colorado, a state we love for its appreciation of the outdoors, design, and unique lifestyle. Emily Arden Wells holds a Masters in Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture where she won the coveted H.I. Feldman Prize for a sustainable multi-family housing proposal in Houston, Texas. The prize is awarded annually to the best solution of an architectural problem. Wells also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, in addition to a year of studies at the Architectural Association of London. Wells’ thesis project was selected for the Archiprix 2011, an exhibition of the “World’s Greatest Graduation projects”. Wells was selected for Wallpaper* Magazine’s 2010 Graduate Directory as part of the “next wave of creative talents who are shaking up the world around you”. She has worked for the New York City design group Avroko, where she was the design lead on Gotham West Market. She also worked for Adjaye Associates New York, where she was part of the core design team for the Smithsonian African American Museum in Washington D.C. Wells previously worked for Daniel Libeskind’s New York, where she worked on numerous projects including the Grand Canal Theater project in Dublin and a variety of other projects worldwide, most notably, the master plan of the World Trade Center. Zachary Stevens, AIA holds a Bachelor of Architecture with a concentration in art history from Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture. Zac has held fellowships teaching art and architectural history with Vincent Scully and architectural theory with Alexander Purves at Yale and also served as a visiting critic at RISD. He’s participated in numerous symposia including those with the Lewitt Foundation and Janus Magazine where he subsequently served as guest editor and contributor to the Janus24 issue. Zac worked previously at the offices of Tai Soo Kim Partners and Architecture Research Office where he led design teams and managed such projects as a private residence in Minnesota, a renovation and expansion of a synagogue in Manhattan and a renovation with new architectural interventions of an individually landmarked building in Manhattan’s Upper East-Side neighborhood for the Vilcek Foundation, a globally renowned non-profit organization.
