About Us

*Authorized European Home Dealer* London Chimney Services & Fireplace Shoppe was founded in 1977 by Mark Rizzo as a one-truck, two-employee business that performed basic chimney sweeping services and minor masonry repairs for San Francisco, Marin County, and the Greater Bay Area. During the 1980’s we expanded to four technicians and began offering installations of fireplace components and gas logs for local fireplace shops. By the 1990’s we were up to six trucks and began to perform large-scale masonry repair and restorations. By 2001 we were a full-service, CSIA-certified chimney company and fireplace shop. Fast forward to today and we are one of the area’s largest chimney service and fireplace dealers and continue to offer the knowledge and professionalism that make London Chimney Services & Fireplace Shoppe stand out.

We had a great experience using London Chimney to replace our old wood-burning fireplace with a new gas insert. The process to order was easy and installation was superb. Frank installed the fireplace and he is as knowledgable and professional as it gets. He was an absolute delight to work with and extremely personable as well. He made installing the fireplace look easy!

My client was so happy with London Fireplace Shoppe that she wanted to write her very first review - ever! Since she admits to not having the most tech savvy, I'm posting on her behalf. In her words, "This is one fine company to do business with starting with Brian in the showroom who really knows his product and helped us greatly by explaining which fireplace insert was available for and would work in our particular spot. Then the installation of the unit was done by Frank - very carefully and with an excellent eye to detail, which is much appreciated. We are very pleased with everything they did and highly recommend them". I know how much my client appreciates fine product and workmanship and I am so happy that she hired London Fireplace Shoppe.

Mark, the owner, does not return calls. Dealing with him, (or at least attempting to), has been one of the worst experiences ever. I would not reccomend him to anyone.

Brian Barth, the sales director at London Fireplace Shoppe, was excellent to work with. His helpfulness combined with excellent product knowledge made our purchase simple and straight forward. Also he coordinated seamlessly with the installation technicians involved in the project.

Brian in the showroom was very helpful and friendly. The showroom is small but I found it to be as stocked as other larger stores. It was a simple process and I got a fireplace that I love. Thanks London Fireplace!

We purchased a fireplace log set with a ceramic insert to add warmth. It looks great and really warms up the living room. No more turning up the thermostat in the whole house in the evenings. Installation was quick and professional. Great service overall. The cats, especially Odie, are really pleased.

Brian went out of his way to find us a replacement part for our vintage 2004 Majestic Gas Fireplace. He worked with the manufacturer to "build" a replacement "Igniter" that they don't even make anymore! Very pleased with his service and we didn't even buy the original fireplace from him- he is that kind a great salesperson who knows how to give exceptional service:-). I would hire him to get involved with any project, and I'm an architect.
