Sonoran Landesign

Do not build your pool with Sonoran, don't walk away - RUN. Looking at old reviews it looks like they used to be better. Long story short: we are $50K in to a $100k + build and cannot get a phone call returned, they ignore emails, literally are silent. Our pool is excavated and passed inspection 6 WEEKS AGO. No shotcrete, no schedule for shotcrete, they simply will ignore you. The really fun part, we picked them because we thought we would get what we wanted in our yard - they were no even the best price! They are a 'preferred company' with Toll Brothers and our pool was supposed to be completed when we closed. We closed 6 weeks ago and I don't know if we will have a pool this year. I understand the 'supply issues' but ignoring a customer who has paid 10's of thousands is beyond unprofessional.

Please beware of pool tile. After only four years of a brand new pool built by Sonoran Landesign, pool tiles are falling off. Contacted the company over eight months ago and still have not been fixed. Today over eighteen tiles fell off the back and into the pool. Texts keep going out but no one have reached out to try and help with this problem. Just contacted another pool company and was told this should not be happening to a pool that was built only four years ago.

I would like to recommend this company, Awaiting installation of my trellis and plants, can't wait to see the great job they do. Will post a photo when done.

Sonoran Landesign did a FANTASTIC job on our landscaping in Scottsdale! We could not have been happier. They sent two crews to complete our project, and these crews, headed up by Benjamin and David, were incredibly capable, very hard working, extremely respectful and above all, did a perfect job! They were an absolute pleasure to deal with. To top it all off, despite the many projects they had going on, they did their utmost to start our project ahead of schedule, which we were very grateful for, as we had asked if it could be done as soon as possible. In addition, we had the pleasure of meeting Travis at the office, who was incredibly knowledgeable in his field and business, and very customer focused. Furthermore, Maurizio's caring and creative demeanor was also very appreciated. All in all, we cannot recommend Sonoran Landesign enough - we had a great experience with them from start to finish.

Sonoran Landesign is without a doubt, the best landscaping company in the Southwest, if not the nation. From initial contact, design, implementation, adjusting to mid-project changes by my wife and I, to project completion, Sonoran employees have been polite and timely responsive to our needs. From company management and design by Travis McFarlin, account manager Tricia Radtke, and especially project manager Rob Harper and his specialized crews, the response has always been immediate and attentive. The crews were a pleasure to watch work, not only for their professional skills, but because they were happy workers and displayed pride in the quality of their work. I am just sorry that we didn't hire them for our last two houses. They are the best. Rob & Ronnie

A great company to work with. They take great pride in their work, and were experts in helping us envision what a creative landscape plan could look like with great design options, after they heard what we were looking for to suit our lot. The hard scape options, from types of stone for a hot environment to water fountain design together with the soft scape of trees and plantings that would provide a great backdrop on the property with variation in colour and texture throughout the year looks great!. They executed seamlessly and we had nothing to worry about from start to finish!

We used Sonoran Landesign for the remodel of our N. Scottsdale backyard and couldn't be more pleased. At 1,000 sq feet, this was a modest project, but Michael Peterson listened to our requirements (she wanted to bring in all the colors and beauty of the surrounding desert; he wanted a top notch bbq/entertaining area) and gave us the attention of a project 10 times this size. The result is a gorgeous flagstone patio and bbq area laid by Sal, an absolute craftsman, and groupings of desert plants that only an artist can appreciate. The budget was fair and comparable to others; the work completed on time with no surprises. We can hardly wait for Michael and Sonoran Landesign to get to work on our front yard remodel

Sonoran Landesign did a fabulous job on our backyard!! From the bid process through final installation, our designer listened to what we had in mind and was able to provide excellent ideas and options available to us. I would definitely recommend Sonoran Landesign to anyone ready to create a beautiful backyard environment!!!

Travis and his team are amazing! I can't speak more highly about Sonoran Landesign. They did our install in 2012 and have done an impeccable job at maintaining the property since then. Our property is 5 acres with two running waterfalls and various types of vegetation from fruit trees to cacti, to water lillies, so their job was no easy task. The result of his efforts are evident in the tons of compliments we receive on our backyard. There have been very few issues since the install and in the few times that we've had some trouble, Travis was always easy to get a hold of and fast to respond. He is a true professional and a gifted artist when it comes to design. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for the best landscape design in town.

We had an incredibly positive experience working with Sonoran Landesign for our custom pool and landscaping project at our newly built home. Michael Peterson successfully combined his wealth of knowledge with great attention to our likes and dislikes to create a wonderful design plan and has been in continuous contact with us throughout the process for any necessary updates and clarifications. Although the custom pool and spa division at Sonoran is a newer addition in the past couple years, Steve Noland, the construction manager, has been designing and building pools for decades. Honestly, we have rarely encountered someone as meticulous as Steve. The entire project was completed on time and on budget, far exceeding our expectations. It is just beautiful!!

Working with Travis McFarlin and his team at Sonoran Land Design was the best experience of our house renovation. We love our outdoor space. My husband is a business owner and he is very empathetic yet critical of other mid size businesses, and he feels Sonoran Landesign was especially communicative, organized and responsive, characteristics he really values. Not only did our designer manage the process from design to demo to rebuild thoroughly, but he also did much of it while we were away for the summer, so we depended on his consistent communication to keep us up to date on progress. They understood the concept we wanted for our property and was able to create a perfect backyard to fit our lifestyle, growing family and budget. To meet our deadline, Our designer showed up on nights and weekends – long after the install crew had left – to finish up the final stages of the project himself. He was organized, timely, extremely transparent in his process and provided ample documentation so that there was never a time when we were surprised or our expectations were not met. He also went above and beyond the scope of his responsibility to provide friendly advice on how to fix other problems we encountered at the house. Sonoran Landesign and Travis did an outstanding job redoing my home's desert landscaping including new walkways, patios with built-in seating, pool decking, several plants, etc. It has greatly increased the value of my home and I would definitely recommend Sonoran.
