I moved into my 1912 Craftsman home in Midtown Sacramento in May of 2012. The house had been beautifully restored, but the small backyard was unattractive and jumble of overgrown plants and random hardscape. The front and side gardens/flower beds were overgrown and not appealing from the curb.
I found Teri Enright through a mutual friend, and even though she didn't have a lot of experience, she had recently completed her studies in landscape design, and was very eager and enthusiastic to work with me. She did a very complete plan to transform the back yard, and front and side beds, and demonstrated a very good knowledge of the plants and flowers that would fit with the climate, shading, and the look of the house.
Once we had agreed on the plans, she managed the job from beginning to end, including finding and managing the irrigation, removal of hardscape and replacement with paving stones, and the planting, in both the back and the front.
She was careful with my money, and consulted me at every step of the project, and also was very good at managing, and supervising the contractor.
I couldn't be more happy with the results, and everyone who comes and visits compliments me on how nice the back and front yards look. (The pictures on Teri's website have both before and after pictures of my house)
It's now been more than a year since we finished, and Teri has been wonderful about checking in and helping make adjustments to some things we have learned (eg, because of differences in shade, there are actually two different climate zones in the front, so we changed out some of the plants.) She has also been diligent at helping me enforce the plant warranty agreement we had with the contractor, and ensuring we got everything from him we were entitled to.
The plan that Teri organized and carried out at my house was superb, and she spent a great deal more time following up and helping be sure everything was just right, which she didn't bill me for. She has continued to check in and stop by and make suggestions, and has also continued to expand her knowledge and skills, which now include sustainable irrigation systems and drought tolerant plants.
She is terrific to work with, has wonderful ideas, is a good listener, and follows through. She has my highest recommendation, and my deep appreciation.
