Triangle Custom Additions

Kevin with Triangle Custom Additions took my vision and turned it into so much more than I ever expected. The crew was very respectful, cleaning up every day and made sure I was informed daily about what their goals were, weather permitting. I will be sure to use them for all my future projects.

We've learned a lot about working with contractors by working with Kevin and Triangle Custom Additions. If you engage them, be sure to: 1) Negotiate the payment schedule: Once they got all but the last, relatively small payment, work seemed to grind to a halt. 2) If your project will involve painting, make sure they cover things up: TCA’s painter did not put drapes over anything and used an ineffective sprayer - Paint was spattered on our new concrete patio and some porch chairs that we had to clean up. 3) Get expectations on their work schedule: Particularly after #1, they worked on average 3-4 hours a day, if they showed up. 4) If possible get promises in writing, make them an addendum to the agreement, and hold them accountable: We were told several times, "It will be done by Friday," only to have that Friday pushed out to the next. We were also told several times that they would be there the following day to get certain things done, only to not show up. 5) Get/set communications expectations: Often text messages and phone calls asking on the status of things, and on when they would continue work, would go unanswered.
