Adhami Pender Architecture

KDN Group have engaged Ahdami Pender Architecture on 2 commercial projects within the light trades/office precincts of Phillip and Belconnen. Project 1 - addition of sunshades to Phillip Commercial Chambers in Altree Court. Tenants on the northern side of the building were experiencing uncomfortably high temperatures during summer. Rather than use an off the shelf sun shading product, we asked Adhami Pender to design a colourful and unique solution that blocked heat while still allowing plenty of natural light and maintaining views. The result was fantastic, both in form and function, successfully reducing the heat load on the northern tenancies and winning the AIA Small Project Architecture 2015 award. Project 2 - refurbishment of a 1970's 2 storey commercial building facing Oatley Court in Belconnen. Our brief was for an eye catching façade supported by quality interior and wet areas. Adhami Pender provided high quality concepts and advice. They were happy to work within our budget constraints, and provided considered solutions to any issues we encountered. Upon acceptance of design concept, Adhami Pender provided DA Drawings, tender documentation and Construction documentation in a timely and professional manner. The result of these works is a striking modern building with upgraded amenities that meet and surpass the expectations of the building’s occupants Our work with Nabil from Adhami Pender has been extremely successful and rewarding. Nabil is very personable, open and honest. He is receptive to his client’s needs and has created designs for us that are completely unique. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to embark on their next project.

Nabil and his team assisted us design a fear-free Veterinary Hospital in a commercial, heritage-listed space. I was aware that engaging a residential architect to design a hospital facility was an unusual approach. We did so because our focus was on creating a quality space with a homely feel. Nabil he is a gifted listener. During our meetings together I appreciated his capacity to identify and respond to my requests. Nabil’s solutions were innovative and effective. I found him remarkably patient and calm. It was refreshing to work with such an honest and authentic person. Nabil provided invaluable support to all attending parties during the build, both on and off-site. I really can’t recommend Nabil and his team highly enough. I would not hesitate to engage Nabil again in the future and hope to have the opportunity to do so.

We have now used Adhami Pender Architecture on two of our projects. Nabil and his team designed our family home and has also designed a dual occupancy for one of our construction projects including all interiors.
