Hafren Director, Lucy Crawford- Sandison is a registered architect, (APBSA reg no. 2462). Lucy graduated from Cambridge University, UK with Masters in Architecture in 1990, and since then has been involved in diverse fields of architecture, from senior Architect, to construction manager, to university tutor, mentor and presenter. Her vision for Hafren is to go beyond the technical 'energy equation' of building sustainability, which only looks at the functional way a building performs energy wise. Although energy saving is very important, she promote that buildings and their design processes can create meaningful 'atmospheres' in the architecture, can connect with the 'Spirit of Place', and can inspire people to foster positive relationships with each other, and with nature.
