JON HELLOWELL B.Sci (Arch), B.Bldg (Hons 1) (Newcastle), M.Arch (U.N.S.W.) Jon Hellowell's practice was founded in 2011, and is focused around domestic contexts, for him these are the most personal and emotional architectural projects. His aim is to reveal something unique about the environment of a project to excite the client and create a genuine process of exchange. He studied the Bachelor of Science Architecture at Newcastle University where he gained a broad base of knowledge and was struck by the importance of a full understanding of the building process. Thus, he decided to complete his Bachelor of Construction Management and worked in various roles within the industry before joining a small architectural practice in Sydney for several years. During this time he also completed his Masters of Architecture at the University of New South Wales, and worked as a tutor for undergraduate courses.
