Lantern Architecture

At Lantern Architecture we sculpt space for human habitation. Our goal is to produce architecture that enhances identity through considered and meaningful design, forms and spaces as well as having a focus on the relationships between materials, light and shadow. Our designs are not a predetermined style, rather an evolution of design exploration that result in architecture that is appropriately and intimately connected to its individual context and function. The importance of listening first and understanding our client’s needs is paramount. We recognise that every project is different, requiring a unique approach to ensure the highest outcome is achieved. The practice team based in East Fremantle is led by Clinton Matthews. Clinton has over 30 years of experience in the architectural and construction industry, including urban planning, interior design, landscape projects and project management. Every project no matter how large or small considers the environmental and social values to ensure truly sustainable outcomes. Clinton’s experience extends beyond both architecture and planning, having spent a significant portion of his career in the industry as a project manager and is now also a Registered Builder. His experience in the building industry brings a vast knowledge and sensibility towards the building construction, materials, construction programming, project delivery and cost.
