Neeson Murcutt Architects Pty Ltd is an energetic, design based architectural firm recognised for innovation. Our architecture is engaging and memorable. We work on a range of project types from bespoke houses to multi-unit housing and housing prototypes, education projects, tourism projects, public and community commissions, and adaptive reuse environments. We have successfully worked with a range of high profile clients including numerous ambitious private clients and significant public bodies such as the City of Sydney, the Australian Museum, the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Catholic Schools, NSW National Parks, and the Sydney Olympic Parklands Authority. Our work has been recognised for design excellence locally and internationally through awards, publications, lectures and exhibitions. This includes representation at the 2006, 2008 and 2016 Venice Biennales. Notably, the practice is recipient of the 2014 AIA Sulman and Lloyd Rees Awards for the Prince Alfred Park and Pool, 2014 AIA Architecture Award for the Larapinta Campsites, 2011 AIA Robin Boyd Award for the Castlecrag House, and AIA NSW Wilkinson Awards for both the Whale Beach House (2009) and Five Dock House (2007). Three recently completed projects – Kempsey Crescent Head Surf Life Saving Club, Australian Museum New Entry and St Columba’s Primary School – have all recently been awarded in the 2016 Australian Institute of Architects Awards, including the AIA Sulman Medal for the Surf Club.
