We initiate careful briefing and creative design to provide durable economical solutions that delight, emphasising re-use and passive solar design. Heritage re-use along with Solar Design and active ventilation help achieve sustainable outcomes. Long life, Loose fit refers to buildings being re-used in new ways, saving the embodied energy of materials and construction. Cradle to Cradle design describes this goal, in a world which has realised its finity and must design materials to be recycled. Our computer modelling in 3D allows us to develop the building, and then derive drawings from the model, for analysis and co-ordination. This assists with Energetic analysis. Energos is an intelligent building energy use analysis module based on the Passivhaus calculation method and built directly into Vectorworks software, allowing an architect to make critical building performance decisions based on real-time feedback from a Vectorworks building model to define energy values. When not working Patrick enjoys kayaking, reading, hiking and playing music.
