Be aware when you use this company to project manage your build/reno, that you will be doing a lot of the project management yourself. In my case, my project remit to the company was to design an extension to an existing home and get building approval through local council on the first application along with a time frame and cost for this. If you use this company make sure that you have a hard copy (such as an email) detailing the cost and time frame for each step. I was not told that I had to pay for a survey before the start of the work ( which cost over $3,000) and although a time frame was agreed, it was not adhered to. Make sure that your project manager is actually familiar with local council regulations and double checks any paperwork regarding your project. In my case, the company invited quotes from two surveyors - one surveyor had my details but was given the wrong address to survey. It was only when I checked the paperwork that the error was noticed. When I was notified by the company of when the survey would take place, the surveyor actually contacted me to say that they were unaware that they had the contract to complete the survey. After the company sent me the survey, I took it to a builder, who noticed immediately that the levels were incorrect - by this time the designer had already provided a design based on an incorrect survey. These are things I would expect a project manager to check. Our project manager remained silent and did not offer any solutions to rectify the situation - that was all left to me. Fortunately both the designer and the surveying company were very professional in helping me resolve the issue.
