We engaged Will from Urban Solutions Architects for designing our new family home. We had a number of demands and expectations, all of which he was able to fulfill within the constraints of the block and budget. His own fee structure was clear and reasonable. He was happy to meet outside normal business hours and delivered on time. We are very happy with his services.

We met with Will and had a kitchen roundtable to discuss our ideas. He is easy to communicate with and was flexible about meeting times. Will came up with a number of suggestions which will undoubtedly add value to our proposed changes whilst also saving money on our works. He was quick to get back to us with the drawings. My wife and I took the plunge and are in the process of renovating our Queenslander in Kelvin Grove. The size of the build is ~$500k, lift (build in under) and extend out the back. Will from Urban Solutions Architects came recommended, and we had the pleasure of working with him for the design / approvals process. Will brought a wealth of experience to the table, from many years experience on all sorts of projects. During the design process, Will listened intently to all we had to say and distilled all that down into a set of design plans. During this process, he asked many questions and threw out some great options for consideration (a lot of which have been incorporated into our plans). Will’s many years experience as an architect were obvious in the several meetings we had to revise / finalise the design plans. He was always respectful of what we wanted in our renovation, and built on that with some really clever ideas. With Will’s extensive network of contacts in the industry, he coordinated everything right up to plan approval, including: surveying, soil tests, structural engineering, energy rating, certification, etc. My wife and I are very happy with the design, and we enjoyed the journey Will took us on through this process. We would gladly use Will and Urban Solution Architects again for further work.

Will has an amazing vision. And when plans don't work out, he doesn't make cut backs, he recreates a plan that works. He is a very good listener and tries to incorporate the things that are important to you in the plans. He is very easy going and made arrangements to be available when we needed him on site. I think Will gets great personal satisfaction out of helping his creations come into existence. We were very happy to have worked with Will and it was good to have someone who fights for your interests.

Will Driml acted as our architect on the renovation and extension of our Queenslander home. The project involved remodelling and extending the rear of a very traditional Queenslander, including converting a bedroom to an ensuite and walk-in-robe, excavating under the house to create a double garage with internal stair access, adding two additional bedrooms and a deck, and remodelling the large kitchen area and sleepouts to create an open-plan kitchen, meals area, family room and separate laundry. From the outset, our brief was to retain the traditional charm of the property and mirror the original post-Federation details in the new extension. Will was attentive to our request, and provided a design which really fitted the brief. We started the project with a large wish-list and a number of ideas - Will provided advice and alternative solutions and we feel that the layout and flow of our house has benefited greatly from his expertise and design. Will's kitchen design has also provided an extremely workable layout. In particular, we are also very happy with the traditional roofline and proportions of the extension which fit our brief of retaining the traditional charm of the property. Will has been easy to deal with and provided thoughtful advice throughout the renovation process. We are exceedingly pleased with the end result of our renovation project.

Will came to our house on time and took the measurements he needed to change the layout of our currently disfunctional walk-in-robe and ensuite.. We were delighted that within 2 days we had an email with 2 choices of professional plans for our ensuite and walk-in-robe.
