We engaged Sam to design a renovation of a 20 year-old cavity brick beach house. Sam listened to what we were wanting to achieve with our renovation, and then developed a solution which interprets our needs extremely well. We found Sam very easy to deal with. We first came across Sam Zaher on the Houzz Website in 2018 We were impressed with the projects displayed and just knew he was the man for our job. Although Sam was busy, we convinced him that we needed his help with our unit renovation on the Gold Coast. Now our renovation is completed we are in heaven as we look at every carefully considered decision. Sam listened to our ideas and then produced a design which really resonated & excited us. Our unit now has a sophisticated feel with modern clean lines but is still very casual. The eighties interior is now architecturally transformed to enhance the interior space and make the most of the views. He has delivered beachside living at it's best. About three years ago we engaged Zaher architects to design our new home. Sam has made the process from conception to completion a very enjoyable experience. He has always been open to our ideas and suggestions and very easy to talk to about even the smallest details. We are now living in an architecturally beautiful building that combines the warmth and comfort of a home with outstanding contemporary design.

We were lucky enough to have Sam and his team assist us with the design and layout of a tricky block in the Northern Rivers suburb of Bangalow. From concept to DA approval, Sam and his team worked overtime in order to make the whole process a breeze. Once we were living in the home we were treated to early morning winter sun due to the great solar passive design and window/door layout. We would not hesitate to use Sam and his team again

We had the fortune of coming across Zaher Architects when we were looking to build our home in Teven, Northern Rivers NSW in the Byron Bay hinterland. Sam Zaher, the Principal architect, was very quick to respond to our enquiry. We not only aspired to his design sence but his pricing was very easy to understand and reasonable for whatever stage we wanted him to consult to. It was unbeknown to us at the time that Sam had won many accolades in the Architectural world and his work is Award winning. Working with Sam is effortless; he has a no -nonsense approach. He is efficient and experienced in his method and craft. He has a high end approach to his design concepts, however he worked in without complaint to our budget and was very generous with his time. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We thouroughly enjoyed the process and are extremely grateful to have recently been attributed DA approval. We would be happy to recommend his work and consultancy.

I have know Sam and his work for over 5 years. Over this time I have found Sam to be a great communicator. I particularly love his work at Wategos Beach, from the overall concept of the home to the small details it is outstanding. I would strongly recommend Sam as the architect for your home.

As it is very windy where we are we have asked Sam to create a wind protected outside area which fits in with the style of our house. Sam came up with a great idea and we are very happy with the outcome. Also we wanted a new fireplace in our living room and again, Sam showed us a few designs we would have never thought of and now we have a beautiful, very stylish fireplace too. Working with Sam was very pleasant and professional. The builder he recommended to put his plans into action was a very good choice too.

We hired Zaher Architects to do a major renovation of our Coorabell residence commencing in 2016 and expected to be completed in March 2017. Sam and his trusty lieutenant Lucy have proved to be a highly skilled and professional team. The result so far has been a lovely but practical design which we expect will meet our budget. They have been very responsive to our requests and all deadlines have been met. Most importantly Zaher have been very flexible in accommodating changes and working with external consultants. We hired Sam at the beginning of 2009 to do a partial renovation of an old farm house in northern New South Wales. He was very professional and when any problems arose always had a solution which was helpful when we had not renovated before. There were complexities with moving walls and re-jigging ceiling roses etc but nothing was too much trouble. We all worked with an excellent building team and together made our renovation work both inside and outside with inground tanks and a swimming pool. A very positive experience.
