Working with Nathan and his team was an absolute pleasure. They made the process of getting a DA approved through Wollongong Council so smooth!

We approached Nathan and the Duplex Building Design team back in January with an idea to build a new dual occupancy at the back of our existing corner block, while maintaining the existing house. Nathan was really helpful up front and the designers were able to pull together a three bed, three bath open plan two storey house on what will be just a ~190m sq lot for the new house. It was also able to be completely detached from the existing house, making it feel like a totally separate home. Overall the CDC process was expensive all things considered, but the costs for Duplex felt like the best value of all the things we had to pay for (water coordinators, etc.) They spent a lot of time on it and we now have approval on a home that, considering the CDC restrictions, what we were after at the start. It also came in pretty much on budget with builders, so in that sense we didn't have any crazy surprises that would have prevented us from moving forward. We would recommend this business, but worth noting it may help you to be across the CDC/DA process in detail yourself prior/during to help inform your decisions. Without knowing the process, it can be hard to understand why certain things can't be the way you want them. Thanks team!

Duplex design is possibly the worst company that i have had the misfortune ever to engage in work for me. Has taken 6 months to have it drawn up I submitted 90% of plans for him he just copied and pasted submitted to council without relevant details required and that was in May 2019 council sent letter to him in regards to stormwater June 2019 and now it is almost October 2019 and they Still haven't been sent to council . This guy is a total waste of time and all his star ratings are worthless. Avoid any contact with him as you will regret it

Nathans team helped us develop 2 separate property developments and split each block into a duplex of houses, not just a granny flat, so that we maximised the property to its full potential, thanks Nathan.. They were able to reach maximum use of properties by their knowledge of local council regulations and codes. We liked how they listened to our ideas and how they were very good at transferring our Ideas over to paper,so as we could submit to council, understood what our final outcome was ,and accommodated our requests. helped with ideas on design and fixed our problems with patience. we will use Duplex Design again for our future projects, Thank you Nathan and team.

We hired Nathan and the team at Duplex Building Design to design our townhouse development at Lake Illawarra, we were extremely satisfied especially after a previous bad experience with another architect. Nathan was easy to deal with, the designs were excellent, everything went through council with no hassles, the documentation was clear and our builder even commented on how clear and professional the plans were. We are looking forward to our next townhouse development with Nathan and our new home design at Kiama later in 2019. We can not reccomend Nathan and his team more highly enough

We found the team at Inov8 great in bringing all our ideas into the design of our home in a timely and professional manner. We found them to be flexible in their approach and informative in relation to Council building requirements as well as recommending products that suited our floorplan and design. We also engaged Inov8 to assist in the design of a small townhouse style development and they were fantastic in all facets of the planning process.

Nathan has always provided excellent plans with plenty of extra measurements that us builders like on our plans and there's never a drama in getting extra info and relevant council codes and requirements as the job changes on the fly
