About Us

Gerard Smith Design, previously Mojo Design, is a building design company based in QLD, founded by Gerard Smith. The firm won the Design Excellence Award, the highest honour at the 2012 Building Designers Australia Awards. "I view building design as 'real life' tangible sculptures that we have the fortune of being able to walk through, experience, work and live in. What is felt inside these sculptures affects the way we feel and live on a daily basis. Building Design is a profession that enables the creator to express his/her creativity and to impart upon people a vision and resolution to improving people's lives, both on a private scale and in a public domain. I feel very fortunate to be entrusted by clients to create something that not only serves a specific function, but that is equally beautiful to be in." - Gerard Smith

The Building Designers Association of Queensland confirms that Gerard Smith from Gerard Smith Design is a member of the BDAQ. A full member of BDAQ must hold a QBCC License in Building Design which requires particular technical qualifications and years of experience. As a BDAQ member they made a commitment to support and promote the ideals of the association in striving always to deliver the highest standards of built environment outcomes to our clients and the community.

Commented: Is this wood a veneer or solid? Where can I access this wood? Thank yoHi Senny. This timber is a timber veneer product that was ordered through a company called Amerind. This company is no longer in operation.
