We reached out to Sam as a referral from different sources, and we have absolutely no regrets with his process and the design as well. Sam happily met us onsite and discussed a range of options & he always listened clearly, he was accessible and had an open and transparent communication style, something that we appreciated hugely. Sam was very familiar with the area and gave us examples of similar homes that he had worked on in the area, which instantly made us feel that we were on the same page. Sam's attention to detail has been very noticeable, not only by us as clients, but also with the builder and other professional staff as well. We have no hesitation in referring Sam on to anyone else requiring a solid, well thought through design. Thanks, Sam, and hope to show you through the house oneday!

We engaged Sam to undertake a major redesign of a very big and grand but tired old house. From start to finish he was enthusiastic, insightful, creative and professional every step of the way. The quality of Sam's design was excellent. He understood our brief and delivered it perfectly and he was always happy to answer questions and consider alternatives. Sam's design process and enthusiasm made the process a truly exciting experience for us. We have no hesitation recommending Sam for any project, big or small.

I engaged Sam to do the renovation drawings for an internal redesign and a granny flat addition. He was fabulous. His timing was great. His patience was unbelievable (I had to put the plans on hold midway through the process). He was generous with his knowledge of the design/engineering/approval process which was so helpful. I would highly recommend Sam for any project.

We can’t recommend Sam of QDH highly enough. From first contact to final result, Sam was friendly, helpful, professional and extremely knowledgeable and competent. Nothing was too much trouble and the turnaround for our project was much faster than we expected...a rare thing in the construction and design field! We were extremely satisfied with every aspect of Sam’s work and will definitely be using Sam for all future renovation projects.

Hired Sam to assist with design extensions for our special home at Beachmere Not an easy task as limited space for the extension and need to fit in with the current roof lines and keep the 100 year old look of existing home Sam is a great communicator and listened to our needs. In less than a month after a couple of site visits Sam had our plans ready for action and was able to get it costed by a Builder and also assisted with contact options for engineering drawings We couldn’t be happier with Sam professional but easy going approach to the project

We're in the process of building a granny flat and hired Sam to be our architect. He listened carefully to our ideas and did an excellent job putting them to paper in the form of high quality architectural drawings/plans. Whenever we needed changes to be made Sam was very quick to respond and make the updates, along with excellent communication. Also, if any of our ideas were structurally not possible due to building codes and requirements, Sam was very helpful to explain why this was the case and to come up with similar alternatives that would still look great! Looking forward to having the drawings become reality in the coming months as our granny flat gets built and we can move into it. We highly recommend Queensland Designer Homes for your building design and architectural plans.

We engaged Sam to design the lift-and-build on our Old Qld'er and we couldn't be happier with his service. He was punctual, very professional, promptly and efficiently addressed any design issues we had and did great work. Even our grumpy old builder said how impressed he was with the drawings! Oh if only all the 'professionals' we engaged in the process were of this caliber...

We engaged Sam from QDH to design a cantilevered extension to our deck. Initially we had approached a couple of deck 'specialists' but they completely failed to grasp what we wanted to achieve. Sam not only provided a great design but also put us in touch with engineers to finalise that side of the process. His quality of work, turnaround times, and responsiveness to follow up queries was brilliant. The deck is nearing completion (Dec 16) and will be the focal point for our families Xmas celebrations this year. Thanks Sam, a great job.

Sam has been a delight to work with. He listened to myself, my 2 sons and my elderly father and came up with 2 fabulous extension designs that met all our needs. He even managed to fit in a couple of "surprises" that I had never even considered possible. I have never done any major work before and was a little intimidated by the process as a single mum with no building knowledge. Sam was available to discuss things at any time and went through next steps in detail. Cherry on the cake was the cost for Sams services which were much less than I expected and the amazingly quick turnaround. Thank you Sam .. I happy to act as a personal reference if needed.
