Tarawill is a boutique building design firm in Melbourne. The focus has always been on residential areas of design and documenting. This relates to renovation & extensions through to investment/townhouse developments for hardworking families. From developing a site for investment, through to long-term financial security for our clients is an amazing journey to be involved in. We started in 2002-2003 by Marc Evans. Designing had always been a focus and passion for him growing up surrounded by engineers & architects & becoming a draftsperson was a natural next step. After gaining experience with inner city projects consisting of home renovation-extensions through to townhouse developments (which encompassed the processes of both town planning and building permit approvals), he began to develop Tarawill Building Design which grew quickly. Marc has always enjoyed home renovation & extension projects as he can use his in-depth knowledge of how a project must come together - both from a structural-design point of a view and from ensuring the needs of the owner/occupier are met. This is why so often Tarawill is introduced to new clients via a referral from a prior client after a positive experience! We are able to understand what the client is going through when they discuss their vision for us to make it come to life firstly on paper and then during construction. As we deal with a high volume of townhouse-unit developments we understand what pressures clients go through from the unknown factors of council, holding costs and the financial investment, neighbor’s responses and the large step they must take in deciding to actually proceed as the journey can sometimes be a long road to approvals and then on to finding a builder. Our mission is to design and oversee the delivery of practical and technical residential solutions for our clients where we offer a professional service which entails our team being adaptable to the clients brief. We have an expectation for all projects no matter how big or small that the same level of detail and attention goes into the communication with the client and the documentation.
