Lifestyle Building and Maintenance built a new deck and pergola for me. They were so professional and respectful and the work they carried out was above and beyond my expectations. When looking for a builder for our renovation project, just “getting the job done” wasn’t our only yardstick. We knew the job would be in progress for quite some time, so we needed to be sure that whoever we enlisted, we were happy to have them in our home and around our family for an extended period of time. The team at lifestyle were exactly that. They were all polite and friendly, we felt very comfortable with them around. With regards to professionalism, we were given an information pack before commencing that laid out all of their processes and costings. This made the whole process very honest and transparent. The guys were using the latest software to track the job and were sending us weekly updates so we always knew exactly where we were upto. I’d heard stories of the disturbance to the home life during renovations and been warned on what to expect from trades inside the home, but I’d needn’t have worried. The guys left the place as clean as could be expected and I actually started to enjoy coming home to see what improvements had been done that day. Having worked with other Builder’s in the past, these guys are the opposite of the negative cliché’ of builders and tradesman. They’re always on time, return calls and communicate well, are positive and solutions orientated. They obviously have the same standards with regards to courtesy and politeness for the contractors and trades associated with them, as all of the guys onsite seemed to be like minded. There was a nice energy to the site. They said they’ve worked long and hard to surround themselves with quality people and it shows. If ever we had a question the guys would talk us through the options without any jargon or sales pitches, just a clear indication of “option a and option b” and the pros and cons of both. We had the feeling they were performing the work and keeping their eye as closely on the budget as if it was their own home. We’re very grateful for the work the guys have done and the positive memories we have of the experience. I’ve already referred these guys onto friends and family and will continue to do so anytime I’m asked for the details of a reputable builder. It’s been a pleasure, see you next time for stage 2 guys! Greg, Kurt and the team at Lifestyle are amazing. They are the one stop shop for all renovations and new builds. We used them for a simple shower screen install and then a roof replacement a few months later.

What I really like about Greg and Kurt is the tips and recommendations they give you along the way that are 1. Cost effective, and 2. Well considered pros and cons of all options as if it were their own house. They are very friendly, reliable and the quality of their workmanship is hard to come by these days. They keep the property clean and make sure it causes minimal disruption to the family. You will always get updates on how everything is tracking too and any possible delays or impacts of one choice versus another on the overall project plan. I’ve engaged Greg and Kurt for a couple of projects. First was some minor internal works like knocking down internal walls for installing BIRs and fixing our property’s drainage. I was so pleased with their professionalism and workmanship I then more recently got them to do a big job changing out all of our windows for sound installation ones, doing a front room extension, doing front and back pergolas and rendering our house. Definitely recommend them!!

We engaged Lifestyle to completely gut and renovate our 1960s 2 bedroom unit. This included extending the kitchen and creating 2 full bathrooms from 1.5 bathrooms + a laundry. Being our first renovation, we had only heard words of caution regarding tradesmen and builders in particular. However, Lifestyle were the complete antithesis of the stereotype. They were professional, responsive, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. They are a tight knit team who not only communicate transparently with the client, but also very obviously amongst each other. They are hugely respectful of your space and belongings and really took the time to understand what was important to me in the process (for me that was knowing what was happening, when and why). To top it off, the quality of their work is fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again and will recommend Lifestyle to anyone who will listen.

The deck Greg, Kurt and their team built for us is perfect and exactly what we wanted. The deck is solid and their attention to detail is fantastic. The whole team have a very professional attitude and are easy to talk to. We will definitely talk to this team again for the next project.
