“We contracted Green Point Design to draft building plans for our new custom build in Glenlyon, VIC. Eric took the time to carefully consider several designs that may provide the best use of the land in terms of views, sustainability, efficiency, materials and practicality. Using his experience in passive and energy efficient design he was able to walk us through varied options and use the different designs to match a plan to not only our budget but also our personal style and tastes. We were advised very early by Eric that our design/drafting process would take time and many hours of consultation to get it right. We were encouraged to ask questions and request explanations as it was truly important to get exactly what we wanted from the process. With an enormous amount of patience and commitment Eric pieced together our dream home. We are very happy with the result.”

We approached them to build our new home and from the outset they provided a personalised and professional service from architectural drawings through to construction and quality finishes. The build process itself was amazing and found the whole experience fun and exciting. They were professional, knowledgeable and very thorough in all aspects of the building processes. Our project manager Branko, was not only on top of every aspect of the project but the level of communication was high as he patiently listen to all our ideas and transformed them into a truly unique design that reflected our personality and lifestyle. “Having bought a block of land in Ballan we were keen to build a passive solar, strawbale house. This wasn’t going to be an easy task as our land was south facing with a rather steep slope into flood plain. We knew that Matthew Turner had an interest in such designs so we engaged him to consider our brief. He quickly solved our need to face north by turning the house around – instead of a street scape we now had double glazed windows framing views across the valley and surrounding countryside. Carefully designed eaves gave us the winter sun and protected us from the hot summer rays. Matthew was very thorough in his approach and always open for suggestions and alterations. He was enthusiastic regarding the design features and was a very hands-on architect. As the task was not an easy one Matthew’s time, skill and creativity was greatly valued.”
