Clive Kennedy Homes

Pretty good overall. Recently we decided to build from the ground up and designed our period style forever home. We approached a local builder who had completed similar style kit homes to complete the build to lock up stage. Clive Kennedy Homes has had to deal with extraordinary weather, material supply and some technical issues and in the most part have done so in a professional manner. Having said that the project did overrun by 6 months and the communication was not the best at times. There was a lot of assumptions made regarding our building and construction knowledge (or lack thereof). Requests for us to action issues were often sprung on us at short notice. The quality of their work in the most part has been good with the exception of some basic details such as water pooling under the house. Grading the site to take advantage of the natural fall to prevent water pooling around the foundations (which was flagged in the engineer’s report) would have prevented this. With restricted access after the build it was very hard to drain, install ag pipe and then move about 35 cube of fill by hand which was an ordeal. This annoyance aside, Kennedy Homes were quick to respond and rectify non-conformance during the defect period. As general advice to anyone considering a new build. I would spend extra time up front fine tuning the specifications and getting advice to clarify and document construction details, materials and inclusions before signing up.

Two timber framed walls of our garage had become very water damaged over a number of years and were in danger of falling down. We were wondering where to find a reliable builder who would do such a relatively small job well. Our daughter suggested one of her old soccer coaches and we are now very glad that she did. Clive assessed the cause of the problem and corrected that as well as doing a great job of demolishing and replacing the walls. We took the opportunity to have the garage lined and shelved so that our storage was greatly increased in a tidy manner. Our visitors all comment on how good the job looks. Having seen Clive's quality of workmanship I am more than happy to recommend him to others.

Clive and his whole team did an amazing job and we are extremely happy with the work and level of professionalism. We look forward to having you guys in to do our upstairs bathroom aswell!

We are so happy with our new deck and sliding doors that work. We put off having this done for sometime as we thought it would be a lot more expensive. Extra time was taken to make sure we had the materials and work we wanted. Throughout the process they always let us know if anything needed changing or possible changes to our budget. Very professional builders. We appreciate all the time and effort for a great job.
