GVD Building Design

I have been involved with Dean Powell Constructions as they built a we designed for one of our clients. Deans building knowledge, attention to detail, high level of building finish and above all his care for his clients is exemplary. After building in Tasmania a couple of times and then relocating to Townsville, we were a bit hesitant at the thought of building again in an unfamiliar place. We then visited the Northshore display village and instantly fell in love with the Dean Powell display home. We were able to talk to Dean in person right from the start and felt much more at ease. Since then we have formed not only a very strong professional working relationship with Dean but also a friendly relationship as well. This is due to the fact that Dean is a professional who is very hands on, so he can ensure he provides the highest quality job, which is completed in a timely manner, with the clients best interests at heart. We contracted Dean Powell Construction to undertake a difficult build, 2 houses on one block with a tight time frame and budget limits. From the design stage through to completion and still now Dean and his crew were very professional and constantly communicated progress or issues with us. As with any new build there were changes which Dean accommodated without complaint offering alternative suggestions and cost options. With the changes and a delay at the start from our side Dean still delivered the project on time and within budget. We are very happy with our dream homes and strongly recommend Dean to anyone planning to built a new home.

We had been through the design stage with several other builders and weren't 100% happy. Dean's designers produced a design that blew the other designs away. We're extremely happy with the finished product. The quality of finish is excellent, and whilst we are yet to experience our first cyclone I have strong confidence that it has been built to take on the big ones!

I got Dean in to do some renovation and extension work on my carport. His work was excellent with a strong eye for detail. He worked efficiently, cleanly and communicated well throughout the job. At the end of the job he exceeded my expectations and I felt I had received great value for money. I have had many compliments on his work from friends and family.
