Most people, I know complain about the renovation process and often their builders. Nothing could be further from our experience with HDMB. We did a major renovation with them, taking around nine months. The communication and care taken by Jay, Dave, and the on-site builders were exceptional. They listened and tried to incorporate ideas that we had, and more than once, came up with ideas for the build that improved the final product so much. They kept us up-to-date with what was happening every step of the way. They made suggestions of ways we could save money. The quality of their work is exceptional. Highly recommended! If we were ever going to renovate again, we would only ever use HDMB.

We highly recommend HDMB Jay was very accommodating and generous with his time during the initial stages; he reviewed plans, organised site visits, made great recommendations and prepared very detailed quotes. Dave was great on site. He works hard to make sure the build goes as the client expects. Every major decision was patiently explained in a clear way. Communication was excellent. The app used to project manage is brilliant; you always have a clear picture of the schedule. We came in very close to budget. 100 year old houses can reveal some unforeseeable quirks during a major renovation, but luckily we only had a few minor ones. Dave was great at presenting options to quickly navigate through any issues and always gave fair pricing on variations. The quality of the work is great, and we've had many compliments from friends/family with their own build experiences. There's a lot of pride taken in the work done, and it shows. It should be mentioned that this level of quality and service was provided in the middle of a pandemic; i.e. dealing with difficult staffing and procurement issues. But even so, the whole process was pretty much stress free because these guys are professional, honest and a pleasure to work with Bryan and Angela Marrickville

We'd heard awful stories from friends whose renovation experiences were not great. However we had the very opposite experience. Jay and Dave did a fantastic job despite weather and the site throwing everything at them. They finished on time and on budget to help us create a high quality home for our family. The team were a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to work with builders committed to a quality renovation.

We cannot speak more highly about Jay and Dave and the whole HDMB team. The attention to detail was brilliant and communication with us about every item was very appreciated. Dave, Jay & the whole HDMB team are fabulous! We have just moved into our renovation completed last week and even amid the chaos of moving house we are so delighted. From start to finish the guys have been easy to work with and helpful. Jay met with us and helped us mould the big picture, recommended a designer to get the CDC (we wish we'd taken his recommendation) then worked through the plan and costings - he was patient (with our inexperience) and helpful (suggesting details left out of our plans). We signed the contract the day after our baby was born and despite juggling that + 2020 Dave and the demolition and build team made the whole process as smooth as possible. The online system they use was superb for seeing the plan, tracking messages between us and reminding us of things to do / sharing documents - there were a few times where we needed to make decisions quickly and we wished we'd had more notice but it was usually something we'd missed in planning / the reality of renovation. The project wasn't big (22 weeks) and was completed with less than a week delay (and the hold up was our kitchen company). We hope we don't have to do a project like this again for a while but if we do would definitely use HDMB again!

Very professional, finished the build on time and always followed the right procedures. Great communication and kept us informed throughout the project. Warranty service was also great.

We couldn't have been more impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail from Jay & Dave at H Design Manage Build. On-time, on budget, exceptionally organised as well as being super tidy our renovation experience with them was was outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to extend, renovate or with a new build.

Whilst our renovation was not as big as some others, it was nevertheless a bit daunting to us as first time builders. However, Jay and Dave were brilliant throughout. They were extremely patient and happy to talk us through everything. The job was also finished to a very high quality, on time and on budget (noting that we requested variations). As we went through the job, unsurprisingly we realised that we wanted changes. For example, we decided that we wanted to upgrade the floorboards and we also changed the way that some of the lighting worked. Each time we wanted a change, Dave and Jay were happy to tell us what was possible, what was not, what it would cost and what the delay might be. Luckily all the changes we made were fairly easily accommodated and we were able to stick to the overall schedule. Overall, we were thrilled with how everything turned out. We learned a lot throughout our build. But our biggest learning was to have a builder than you can work with. HDMB is most definitely that! We’re already planning to engage them for the next and bigger stage.

We engaged HDMB to complete an extension and addition to our house in the inner west of Sydney. We had originally engaged another builder however that was short lived as he had significantly underestimated some of the costs when we pushed for more detail so we parted ways before we even began. Dave and Jay from HDMB provided us with an extremely detailed quote and took the time to help us work out how we could complete the project within our budget. They were extremely accommodating of us living on site during the build and of us undertaking some of the tasks ourselves (eg some painting etc) to ensure we could achieve this. Dave was onsite every day and regularly communicated the schedule of works and any changes to the schedule, and the invoicing/billing was clear and detailed. Our project was delivered on time and on budget and both Jay and Dave are just lovely guys to work with. We are really happy with the result and the quality of the build. I know a lot of people who have had bad experiences with renovations but for us finishing off what was a 3 year process from finding an architect/approvals and finding a builder to completing the project - we are really pleased that we went with HDMB and would have no hesitation using them again in the future or recommending them to anyone.

Jay and Dave completed our renovation in Annandale, converting our 2 bedroom semi into a beautiful 4 bedroom home. We could not be happier with the quality of their work. They were very helpful in collaborating on ideas and improvements to the design, as well as ensuring the build was completed on time and on budget, which was impressive given a strict 6 month turnaround for a substantial renovation. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Dave and Jay managed an internal reno of our eastern suburbs unit block. They were on time, on budget, tidy and very easy to deal with. They take a great deal of pride in their work and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
