We used Main Layne for our recent Renovation and are very happy with the end product. Our beautiful home took 9 months to recreate with the renovation modifying all but one room in the house. Andy and Chrissy where great to work with, approachable and easy to talk to about my design ideas. They where both always available for consultations, discussions and any issues we had. We where included in the entire process from start to finish which was great for me as I had very particular ideas about what I wanted my home to look and feel like. Andy worked hard to give us exactly what we wanted. Finishes are impeccable and we are both very happy with our beautiful home. Even now on completion the builders are still in contact to make sure we are all happy with finishes and final touch ups. Very Happy and would recommend.

Main Layne have completed a couple of projects for me in the past year and have consistently been great to work with. Re-beaming to open up floorplan of part of ground floor was conducted on time and on budget, with all aspects handled professionally. Water damage to joist and load bearing wall resulted in urgent call out, Andy, Chrissy and their team were out straight away and had the repairs completed within days. Communication and reliability are strengths of Main Layne, their responsiveness and willingness to work with me through our projects from design considerations through to work execution has made the process a pleasure.

When I first met Andy, I realised that some builders obviously do surf, and it’s a shame we have not yet got the Malibu’s out yet… that day will come. For now, I will say something about Andy and his team, and the terrific builders they are. I think it’s fair to say that Andy and his team are first class. We wanted to renovate our 1993 3BR 1 Bath ground level brick veneer house into a 3 BR 2 Bath, Butler's Pantry c/w sink, media room and European laundry on the ground floor and a self-contained studio apartment in a new 2nd floor . From our first meeting with Main Layne (Andy & Chrissy), we felt they understood what we wanted. They quickly pointed out ways we could transform the house working with what was there. They connected us to people we needed for the design, engineering and certification. They worked with us to clarify any issues. All documentation including a detailed contract for the works was done quickly. Work started very quickly after approval. It soon became clear to us that the team from Main Layne held themselves to high standards of workmanship. As our project progressed, ideas flowed between ourselves and the team from Main Layne. Things that stood out were: (1) the use of quality insulation throughout the house keeping it cool in summer and warm in winter and reducing our energy costs; (2) the use of available roof space on the second floor studio as attic storage Issues, the unexpected in any renovation, were quickly resolved in the most cost effective way. Choosing interior furnishings, tiles and paint colours (inside and outside) was made easier with help given where possible. Our parapet carport is a prominent feature. Shading pergolas and raised garden beds at the front, back and side of the house create enjoyable outdoor spaces. A 10M2 fully insulated custom built shed with roller door completed our enjoyment of our back yard. A cleverly designed white powder coated aluminium slatted fence with electric car gates and a rebated pedestrian gate give us privacy while letting cool afternoon sea breezes flow thru. Selecting plants for our new garden was made easier with help given where possible. What started off as a daunting project for us ended up becoming a great experience working with the creative team from Main Layne.

From concept to completion Main Layne is first class. They've helped us twice now; firstly with in a tricky post-war Queenslander open plan kitchen/dining/living conversion which includes an engineered structural roofing solution. And secondly, with installing an oversized bi-fold door again involving a structural solution. Their process is no fuss, professional while keeping you engaged and well informed throughout. The finishes for both works are high quality and have transformed our home and lifestyle. Andy & Chrissy are great people and I highly recommend contacting them for a quote.

Andy, Chrissy and the boys from Main Layne did a great job with our house raise project. Andy was the only builder we met with that was interested in helping us save our old Queenslander within the budget we had. He offered us options and ideas not forthcoming from anyone else and delivered the end result on the exact day specified in the contract and for the exact quoted price. Not only are Andy and Chrissy great builders to work with, they are honest and genuinely really nice people. We contracted Main Layne for our deck Extension some years back and since then have used them for all our renovations on 2 properties. They were welcoming to our questions and assisted in the design of some ideas we had. Andy as the onsite 'Go-to' person was integral to the progression of the job onsite but his Partner Chrissy in the back end keeping all the correspondence flowing was perfect.
