In 2022/2023, we collaborated with Meadan Homes on a comprehensive renovation project in Frenchs Forest. This project involved a complete overhaul of most of the interior space, as well as the addition of a new upper level. Our journey began with Sam from the sales department, who was highly proactive and negotiated a competitive price in comparison to other costly building firms. Sam excelled in communicating any construction delays or price escalations, which were attributable to the challenging conditions in the building industry following COVID-19, including labor shortages and a surge in material costs. On the construction front, Harry worked tirelessly, exceeding expectations to meet our ambitious deadline by allocating additional workers to expedite the completion of the project. Furthermore, Harry consistently provided constructive challenges to our architect’s designs, a strategy that ensured the construction was not only expedient but also of the highest quality. We were exceedingly satisfied with the final outcome of the build and would unreservedly recommend Meadan Homes to anyone in search of a top-tier building company for their next project.

Building is such a long and arduous process. It’s our first time building and dont have a clue what we are getting into. We just wanted a beautiful house we can call home. It’s so confusing, with so many builders claiming they are the best in the industry. Have consulted a number of project builders (5) and actually already signed a tender and paid a deposit with one. However, upon talking with Meadan (Sam), i realised that I all i need is transparency and honesty which i reckon is hard to come by in the industry. Sam (sales), Belinda (internal selections/design) and Rubi (drawing/design) are such a great team to work with. Very responsive, accomodating, patient and an honest bunch.. they will not ‘sell’ you something just because. They are insightful, practical, and genuinely nice people not driven by $$$. They will listen to you and work with you and turn your dream into reality. We enjoy thoroughly working and going through the process with them. My wife and myself have been through a long journey in the pre-construction process of getting our home build started. Meadan homes was introduced to me as a recommendation from a work colleague, but I was hesitant at first as I had only ever dealt with the big project home companies, where you could visit the house and if you liked it you pretty much knew what you were getting as they would simply place it on your block. Thanks heavens I made that call to Meadan Homes! I showed them what I was building and they immediately pointed out several things that didn't suit the block and they were pretty major. Sam took the time to walk through all the steps involved in the process and was extremely transparent in explaining what things cost and where to get the best bang for buck. I never had this level of interaction with the project home builders, it went above and beyond what the big home builders provide. So now I've taken the plunge and signed up, and am currently going through the design with the Medan Homes architects and they did not disappoint. I am so impressed with the design as it has exceeded the many iterations of designs I went through with the project home builders. Meadan Homes did an extension to my home, a roof over an existing deck and a pool cabana. From the time I engaged them the whole process was very professionally handled from start to finish. Both Sam and Harry had excellent communication regarding the progress of the project. Their build quality and trades persons were excellent and they endeavoured to match the extension to the existing house. Roof construction over the deck was complicated but a superb job was done on it. The pool cabana was beautifully finished. I found Harry to be prompt in responding to my querries and getting the job done without cutting corners when slight discrepancies occurred. I highly recommend Meadan Homes for any building project and would definitely use them again.

Meadan Homes has done a great job on my granny flat conversion. A very professional organisation. Everyone from the office staff to the tradesmen were efficient, polite, accommodating, paid attention to detail and maintained a high standard of workmanship. Meadan built the granny flat for my husband and I about 6 months ago. Harry and and the team have made sure the entire project was not only budget wise, but also accommodating in regards of the adjustments requited from time to time. Julie has been absolutely amazing and supportive during the building process and even more, after the granny flat was completed-she has been very helpful and resourceful when we list our granny flat for leasing on the market. The professionalism, integrity & excellent workmanship that the Meadan Homes (MH) team showed throughout the renovations process, was nothing short of excellent. I have no reservations in highly recommending the team. They did a fantastic job and took the stress away from the whole process. Despite complications from unexpected additional structural work, the team always were on hand with the technical expertise and were very fair throughout the process. They have a customer first mentality which is a rare find in the industry. This was also clearly demonstrated when there was any area that differed from my expectation. The team were always concerned with ensuring I was 100% happy. The MH renovation took a property that was very deteriorated and turned it into a beautifully appointed property that felt brand new.

They communicate as much as they can and provides vital guidance for our project. From the start, all costs and issues are clearly discussed, negotiated and settled through email, photos and SMS. The quote and costing they provided was competitive, precise and had better inclusions as compared to other builders. Their tradies are well organised and provided quality work. Our granny flat has been praised by people who visit it for the first time. They can clearly see the difference in build and quality of materials that has gone into the project compared to other granny flats in the area. Meadan Homes built our granny flat just like other million dollar projects they have. We are very satisfied with the way our granny flat has finished. Our experience in building our GF with Meadan Homes was a success.

In March 2018, we finally decided to renovate our home, with the aim to eventually sell and downsize. Our initial thought was to renovate the bathrooms, which we knew had termite damage. After putting a quote request out on the Internet, we were promptly contacted by Sam from Meadan Homes. Sam came to the house after work and, after hearing our requirements and viewing the property, presented us with a number of options. To increase saleability, Sam recommended we look at renovating the entire house. This included bathrooms, kitchen, floor coverings, deck, porch, replacing the spiral staircase, re-rendering the outside of the house, replacing the garage door and a full repaint both inside and out. Sam provided an initial quote which, after a few changes in requirements, we finally settled on the scope. After meeting with Sam, Rabih (site supervisor) and Harry (construction supervisor), we were told the job would take about 8 – 12 weeks to finish and then settled on a start date. Due to the scope of the work, we moved out for the duration of the build but had regular site meetings to show progress and discuss issues. As a result of the unpredictability of the termite damage, Rabih briefed us thoroughly regarding the extra work required and the reasons for it. We met many of the contractors on site and found them all to be very approachable and professional. Meadan delivered on their time estimate as we were able to move back into the house after 9 weeks. Unfortunately, towards the end of the build, Meadan were let down by one of their subcontractors, which extended the completion time by another 5 weeks. However, this did not adversely impact us as the work affected the outside of the house. We are very happy with the quality of workmanship across the entire renovation. Minimal defects we identified and those that were found were rectified without question, We were also very happy with the professionalism and quality of communication exhibited by everyone at Meadan. Being novice renovators we were extremely grateful for all the guidance provided by the team at Meadan. They listened to us and allayed all our concerns. We have no hesitation in recommending Meadan.

Granny flat build supposed to take 12 weeks. Build took 23 weeks with various problems along the way, most caused by poor quality of work from sub contractors. Had to rework some items personally once build was finalised. I would not recommend Meadan Homes as they continually delayed work and mentioned all the other builds they were working on. Perhaps they focus more on other areas than Granny Flats / Extensions.

We found this building company online, contacted them and many others and from the outset they were very prompt, eager to assist with the project and in our house to view our project within days of the initial contact. Sam and Harry were very knowledgeable and informative and experienced. Other than a initial design change unplanned for prior to excavation the project went ahead quickly except for a long period of wet weather at the wrong time. Communication from us to builder and company office was great with the assistance of John the Project Manager and Keisha in the office. I know the builder doesn't work for you now however the only comment I would make is his work wasn't up to standard and he certainly should not have been doing any landscape work i.e. retaining walls. Reviews of our granny flat from prospective tenants last year on inspection were, " this is the best granny flat we have seen in Penrith". Thanks Guys.
