Thirdson Constructions was a godsend for us in an incredibly tumultuous time. Despite being one of the most difficult times for construction companies in recent memory, Thirdson were honest, fair and transparent throughout the whole process. We began our journey with Thirdson when the homebuilder grant was first announced and they assisted us to keep tight time frames in relation to this, providing us with guidance through the planning and approvals stage. When construction began, supply chain issues and cost blow outs were ravaging the industry, yet Thirdson never displaced what was inevitably a huge burden for them onto us. Through very diligent planning and preparation, they were well placed to respond to these issues and supply delays (while existing) were minimal compared to what they would have been without the thought that the team put in to minimising them. As construction continued we got to see the true brilliance of this company, who always found the best quality option for finishes, without impacting our bottom line. There were countless times I was surprised to learn about an exceptional product sourced by the team, focussed on longevity and sustainability, without blowing the budget. There were several fork in the road moments in this build where an issue would arise which I was not 100% sure would be resolved in our favour, however Thirdson showed incredible ethics at all times and would always mediate a solution which we were happy with. The quality of build, integrity of the team, advice and guidance from staff and personal interactions with the owner were of the highest standard and made a difficult time much less so. We’re eternally grateful to Thirdson for making our dream come true. Thank you all so much.

Thirdson Constructions undertook a $750K renovation of a 1905 workers cottage in Greenslopes, Brisbane for me. I used their design services as well as their construction services. The project wasn't an easy design and build, with a number of restrictions in place from the council/certifier as to what we could and couldn't do. Thirdson Constructions were very helpful through all stages (design, budget/quote and build). Thirdson Constructions own team, and their various sub-contractor trades, were excellent and I received numerous compliments during the build from neighbours and other residences in the street, on not only the quality of their work, but also how they went about their daily activities. The end result was a fantastic outcome which has been beyond my expectations. Their efforts have transformed a tired 2 bed, 1 bath workers cottage into a 5 bed, 3 bathroom home with numerous features such as double garage, pool, ducted air con, security system, deck, patio etc. Thirdson Constructions were very engaged with all finishes and selections on the project and were very knowledgeable in what was current with market trends to help me in these areas. I recommend them highly and can't thank them enough for what has been a fantastic outcome on this project.

We found them to be extremely professional and the quality of their workmanship was outstanding! David and his team were incredibly polite and respectful and a pleasure to work with. My wife and I used David and his team to renovate our property in 2017 in Corinda, Brisbane. It’s been almost 3 years since the projects was completed so the review is well overdue. The project was a lift and build under of an existing Queenslander. David and his team were super organised and very straightforward to deal with at all times of the build. The Subcontractors Dave engages are all first class. Especially Matt from cut above kitchens. Everything went smoothly, to plan and on budget. To save costs, I completed the paining of the property personally. This gave gave me the opportunity to get up close and view the workmanship before what would otherwise be the painters job to fill all the defects. Let’s just say there was no need to fill in the gaps as the workmanship was spot on. On a side note. Dave and the team used an app that they updated daily with pictures of the build process (so you got see what was going if you couldn’t get to site.) in addition the app also allowed me to sign for variances and decisions on costs and ordering. That way there was no disputes when it came to paying the bills. Lastly, David and his team are backed up by David’s sister Esther who does all the ordering and co-ordination of fittings and selections. She also was a pleasure to deal with. My wife and I are exceptionally proud of the home that Dave and his team helped us create. We do not hesitate in recommendingThirdson construction to our friends and family if someone is looking for a builder.

We had an exceptional experience with Thirdson (particularly Dave and Matt). If you are looking for a honest and reliable builder who delivers exceptional quality and attention to detail - go with this company. Throughout the entire building process, there was great communication and we always felt that we were supported and guided in the right direction (they were always available to answer our questions and assist). We are so happy with the build and would have no problem recommending them.

From initial consultation right through to completion of their scope of works, we found David and his team to be responsive, punctual and completely on the ball at every point. We were looking to reconfigure our house to incorporate a large front porch that was rarely used into useable living space. It was David’s idea to push out to the side instead, adding more room and increasing the “sqm per dollar” renovation value. When David first quoted our works, we were impressed with the timely response given and when he was asked to re-quote and review to finalize the details, this was not an issue. We had other builders quote the works – all were more expensive, and we didn’t get the same positive enthusiasm that David gave. When construction started, David’s guys – Matt, Amos, Joel and the crew were fantastic – friendly and considerate of our continued occupation of the premises while they worked. We always found them to be cheery and energetic, happy to be there!! Other trades we had on site always commented and asked who the builders were as they were always impressed by Thirdsons workmanship and attention to detail, saying it is a rare commodity to find these days. We wanted to take on certain aspects of the build ourselves to which David completely understood, and was encouraging of, to give it our own stamp and contribution. All his team volunteered useful information making theirs and our process much easier to accommodate. Throughout the project, David would check in and turn up for any questions or queries, staying on top of the operation. Communication was always there, and updates were made easy by using the App provided, including tracking the schedule, work site logs with photos and knowing when certain milestones were to be met. Any issues due to weather, unforeseen circumstances, etc. were met with a prompt and thought out resolution. With the completion of the construction phase, we are now looking forward to taking on the fit-out and decoration works ourselves to achieve a polished project we are proud of. We were kept informed every step of the way and were totally impressed by their professionalism from initiation to finalization, making the whole process very easy. I would have no hesitation to recommend Thirdson Construction for any prospective building or renovation venture you may have, as I’m sure they will impress you as well with the ease that we found dealing with David and his crew.

This company and their team were professional and cooperative in working with the roller door supplier. We are absolutely thrilled with the transformation. We can certainly recommend them highly.

Dave and his team completed the structural work for our kitchen extension and renovation. His quote was timely and fair. He consistently arrived on site when expected. All work was completed to a high standard and on time. The site was left clean and tidy. Dave and his team ensured that not only were all the major elements of the construction effectively managed but also modifications were suggested and discussed to ensure the optimum outcome was achieved. Honest, reliable, competent, financially responsible, organised, good communicators and easy to work with. I have engaged Third Son for a number of jobs around my old house. They have been excellent at dealing with working within the style of my house and coping with its slightly wonky idiosyncrasies. Third Son are able to work within budget constraints, and to keep good budgetary control of projects. I highly recommend these builders.

Dave, Matt and the rest of the team from Thirdson were entrusted with the renovation of our recently acquired home that sits in a very,exposed rainforest site on a hilltop. The house built in 1986 was showing its age. We could not have been happier with the quality of their work, their communication and attitude. Dave is a thinking builder who provided us with excellent solutions to a number of problems encountered,as the renovation unfolded. He provided us with costed options after carefully listening to what we wanted to achieve. We were not able to be onsite most of the time but the things he drew our attention to , gave us confidence that the job was being done “right”. We were able to follow daily progress via photographs and comments posted on the website. We were happy to have the renovation finished but sad to see them go. We had such a great experience working with Dave and Thirdson. We will be using them again and recommend them unreservedly.

Recently had our ensuite bathroom renovated by Thirdson. Project manager Matt Savini and the rest of the tradies were excellent, keeping us informed throughout the process, and making all the decisions easy. The result was just as we envisioned and we couldn't be happier.
