It all started with a casual consultation at my home about our plans for renovations, we were very overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. Talissa slipped straight in with her expertise and knowledge in a very relaxed fun way, she explained things & listened to our ideas. Starting with my overwhelming task of needing to de-clutter our space, in a very non- judgemental way Talissa chatted about how to go about this process and simplify our 35 yrears of treasures. It was a very hard but also a inspirational time, giving us a positive outlook to what we wanted to achieve but felt was not possible at the time. Talissa wrote out a list of things to do at our own pace, never putting any pressure on us to do things quickly or that we had to do everything, only through her eyes she could see it would look great. Starting with the simplifying of our possessions, this part was amazing we actually sold items we no longer wanted and used money for new items we did want later. Consulting about colours was so important, something that not everyone has an eye for, I certainly don’t! This was imperative, if your renovating you don’t want to have to do things twice because you got the colours wrong. This was the second amazing part of our transformation, PAINTING! Over time working through my list & more visits from Talissa, even shopping time together coming up with ideas of things we would never have thought of or tried, she found some great ideas & ways to display our treasures that had been pushed in a cupboard for years, at all times keeping to our budget, style and tying in the colour scheme. Also if I was out shopping and unsure (always) I would send picture through and Talissa once again had a great eye for detail and was able to advise if it would fit the brief. We love our new space now, especially the Bar area, this area was ALWAYS a corner to put junk now it’s a totally functional bar that is so perfect!!!! Talissa you are amazing, patient, and so helpful nothing too much trouble and bringing our home together to look as good as it does is beyond our expectations. I now enjoy using our rooms that are less cluttered and we can actually admire some of our treasures that were pushed in cupboards never seen that you so cleverly used & incorporated in our styling. You interpreted our brief so well and listened to everything we said. Oh that list! Once again your vision was right, we did paint areas that at first were reluctant to do & removed an internal door that we never thought would work, it has created an open, bright & airy look which we just love. Talissa's strengths are in her ability to really listen and understand our emotional journey in the renovation of our home. She suggested a complete colour change and we are thankful that we trusted her vision. We absolutely love the change!! Talissa was able to modernise our home whilst incorporating our sentimental pieces. She also made suggestions for an affordable kitchen redesign keeping to our strict budget, and that has absolutely changed the way we live. The kitchen has now become the heart of the home again. Everyday I look around the spaces and see something that makes me smile. She has decluttered our world and we are truly grateful and would absolutely recommend her.
