Schwensen & Co is a Sydney based property and interior styling service, founded in 2016 by Jann Schwensen who has always had a passionate love for interiors, art, furniture, design, travel, property and shopping. Schwensen & Co developed organically with Jann initially giving property and interior styling advice to friends which soon turned into paid jobs. She was also looking for a career change after 20 years as a Registered Nurse and ready for a new challenge upon returning to Sydney after many years living in London with her family. She has finally unleashed her creative side by fulfilling her desire to work in property and interior styling. Jann has completed a Diploma of Interior Design and is currently studying with the Institute of International Home Staging, giving her the opportunity to broaden her knowledge and understanding of the industries. Jann greatly admires the work of the Australian interior designers Arent & Pyke, Brendan Wong , Fiona Lynch, the Designory, and the Australian stylists Ashley Pratt, Kerri Ann Jones, Julia Green, Steve Cordony. Further afield it is the work of Ilse Crawford, Tom Dixon and Kelly Wearstler she respects. She loves the Instagram feeds of the Cool Hunter, designboom, lovewant, the rhapsody, floral sculptures, theworldofinteriors and CN traveller to name a few. Jann has a keen eye and is a great supporter of Australian contemporary designers and artists. Jann loves a sculpture garden, to swim in ocean pools in the summer, enjoys a glass of champagne, and takes her family on road trips stopping at every little second hand shop along the way, in the hope of adding to her personal collection of eclectic pieces of art and objects of varied provenance that have been acquired over the years from sourcing and treasure hunting at brocantes in France, art fairs in London, West Hollywood Flea in LA, markets in Europe, car boot sales in England and auctions in Sydney.
