“We'd moved in as we wanted a feel for the place before starting; the first company we worked with came back with a project that wasn’t viable, hence on the recommendation of our neighbours we spoke to homeconcepts; they engineered the quote back based on budget. The initial meeting was different. They asked questions the other two hadn't. Not "what do you want it to look like" but how we actually live, what time of day we're in which room, whether we eat together or whether the children eat separately. That kind of thing. The extension itself, a rear ground floor addition opening onto the garden with a full-width rooflight, took about seven months. They took care of planning, party wall etc.. . I didn't have to think about it. The site manager, a star called Lucas, was always available and was steady and wise hand throughout. Finish quality is exceptional. The joinery throughout, bifold doors, built in cabinetry, the library wall they designed for the front reception, is the kind of thing guests remark on before they've sat down. One friend who's an architect himself spent about twenty minutes examining the kitchen joinery; he tells me he has now recommended homeconcepts to clients. I was impressed that the final cost matched what was agreed, which in my experience of building work in London is somewhere between rare and miraculous. A good solid, honest bunch. Would I recommend them? Already have. Three times.”

“Excellent service throughout - I highly recommend Plusrooms and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Three things really stand out compared to other firms we've used in the passed: Firstly, they know the work extremely well - they focus on extensions and conversions of London property and they clearly had extensive experience doing jobs exactly like ours (side-return on a victorian mid-terrace). They had seen it all before an knew exactly what to expect. Secondly, they really understand their clients. Major building works can be incredibly stressfull, particularly when juggling jobs and kids etc etc. Plusrooms really understand this and our project manager (Scott) was exceptional. Thirdly, their workmanship is top-quality (plenty of photos online that show this). I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.”
