“I contacted Rande after researching some designers in my area. I had been working with another designer on a complete remodel of my house. After the construction was completed, I felt the designer wasn't getting where I wanted to go with the interior design and so when I met with Rande I felt she understood what was wrong and where this project needed to go in order to finish it. I had been working on this project for a few years and I was exhausted. Rande made it so easy for me! She put together a presentation and gave me a few options and when I couldn't make a decision, I put my trust in her experience, taste and knowledge. We are very close to finishing and I am absolutely thrilled with everything. It has truly been a pleasure working with Rande and her darling assistant, Emilie.”

“I hired Ava and Arlene for a small project for an hourly fee: space-planning and color palette recommendation for a new home my husband and I just moved into. They not only previewed the space once in person to get a feel for it and take photos to do their magic, but also communicated along the way. The day of our working session was a flurry of ideas, moving furniture and snap decisions, and by 3 p.m. that day, wow... the place was transformed! Plus, I was armed with a folder full of blueprints and inspo photos that they had compiled. Highlights: 1. They respected our budget and didn't try to upsell us. 2. hey told us exactly how to prepare to make the most of our working session. 3. Persistence & creative solutions: A mover insisted that a 101" sectional sofa could not be moved into our TV room . ... think a 1920s Spanish house with low ceilings and tight corners to turn. I'm writing this review from that sofa in that TV room. Yes, they studied the angles and even decided to take some hallway doors off to save that sofa from me having to sell it. Just amazing. AA Design Firm aced their mountain of a task - merging my style with my husband's style, inside a third style we we were unfamiliar with (Spanish colonial revival). Totally worth it.”

“Susan Jay is an talented designer, decorator who takes the time to get to know her clients. One of the many reasons that I hired Susan during our six month kitchen and bath renovation and whole house redesign was to help us stay sane and married. My husband and I have very different styles and we practically never agree on both design and decorating decisions. He is very hard to please. (Others have tried unsuccessfully.) Susan did an outstanding job, first helping with the design of both our gut renovation of a kitchen and bath and then with a new color palette, all new electrical lighting, window treatments and more. All the hundreds of decisions needed to be eco-friendly and also accommodate my chemical sensitivities and our budget. Not only was she kind, and supportive during this stressful process of renovating during a pandemic, but she brought us both design and decorating ideas that we could agree on. And when there was a problem, she was always available with good problem solving solutions. We are now enjoying our newly renovated home thanks to Susan and her team.”
