“I hired Ava and Arlene for a small project for an hourly fee: space-planning and color palette recommendation for a new home my husband and I just moved into. They not only previewed the space once in person to get a feel for it and take photos to do their magic, but also communicated along the way. The day of our working session was a flurry of ideas, moving furniture and snap decisions, and by 3 p.m. that day, wow... the place was transformed! Plus, I was armed with a folder full of blueprints and inspo photos that they had compiled. Highlights: 1. They respected our budget and didn't try to upsell us. 2. hey told us exactly how to prepare to make the most of our working session. 3. Persistence & creative solutions: A mover insisted that a 101" sectional sofa could not be moved into our TV room . ... think a 1920s Spanish house with low ceilings and tight corners to turn. I'm writing this review from that sofa in that TV room. Yes, they studied the angles and even decided to take some hallway doors off to save that sofa from me having to sell it. Just amazing. AA Design Firm aced their mountain of a task - merging my style with my husband's style, inside a third style we we were unfamiliar with (Spanish colonial revival). Totally worth it.”

“We purchased a new home which was under construction In Palos Verdes Estates (PVE) which had magnificent views. We prefer modern décor but the town of PVE requires the outside of every home to have a mediterranean décor. So Konni had the challenge of providing a smooth transition from the outside of the house to a modern interior. Konni did a magnificent job decorating 5 bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, large kitchen, 5 bathrooms, and even storage cabinets for the garage. Before starting, she presented us with a very professional and detailed room-by-room budget. She has both an architectural education and art education so she was able to work with the contractor to optimize the layout. She also introduced us to local furniture makers and customized a lot of our furnishings and built-ins (which she pesonally designed), thereby saving us a lot of money, Her work turned out beyond our expectations. Konni is, in our opinion, the best home decorator in The South Bay and the easiest to work with.”
