“My first ever renovation project was handled by CID, who came highly recommended by a neighbour. They were extremely patient and thorough, starting initial discussions while I was overseas and guiding me through all of the steps from measurements to plans to choosing materials and appliances to project managing the trades. It is easy to judge CID’s design skills for yourself by looking at examples of recent jobs on their website. But their project management skills are also impressive, and were critical to successfully completing the renovation on time and on budget. I understand that getting quotes for work from trades can normally take several weeks if not months, but the team at CID were able to get the entire project (three bathrooms, a kitchen and a laundry) costed in less than two weeks, and then re-costed in under a week when I needed to adjust the scope of the work. Dana in particular managed the schedule of work and directly handled negotiations with my strata management as well as her vendors and trades. She personally ensured that the project stayed to time, including driving to Sydney and back to obtain plumbing fittings that were not in stock in Canberra. A few things out of our control did go wrong along the way, but she was quick to communicate any issues to me and propose options to resolve them without blowing out the budget. And the end result is absolutely beautiful. I would work with her and her team again any time.”
