We engaged Kate to assist with designing our new bathroom in our house, which is over 100 years old. We wanted the bathroom to have a look and feel which was going to be compatible with the rest of the house. We had a basic idea of what we wanted but needed help with the design, layout, and basically how to make it all work well (as our laundry is part of the same space). Kate delivered our perfect bathroom! It was so good to have her professional opinion on the layout, and also the fixtures and fittings, colours etc. I really don't think I would have known where to begin, and the result would not have been nearly as good without her . I highly recommend Kate, we look forward to working with her again when we are in a position to do our kitchen. Thank you Kate.

I give Kate Vale 5 stars for her work with our house renovation. Kate has been a joy to work with and has been so patient with us and our requirements. From her original designs for our kitchen, bathrooms (3), laundry, study & deck to Kate showing us new ideas/choices for kitchen, bathroom & laundry fittings (so many), and then organising & liaising with the tradespeople to get the jobs done, we could not have done it without her. Kate’s guidance is allowing us to have a home that is still uniquely ours, and one we love living in but at the same time if we decide to sell will also be good for resale.

My husband and I are extremely happy with our bathroom renovations through Kate Vale Design + Consulting (kv.dc). During this process we found kv.dc to be very professional and highly skilled at delivering an amazing bathroom that always receives compliments. The level of communication we received throughout the process was exceptional, we were always informed of important status updates and were never left wondering. Kate not only listened to every one of our items on our wishlist, she brought this list to life and all the hard work was done for us. Not only was the level of communication high for us, they also collaborated with the builders to ensure the end goal delivered was beautiful quality work.

Kate from Kate Vale Design and Consulting is professional, creative, inspiring and not to forget, patient beyond belief. She listens to likes and dislikes, challenges preset ideals and encourages the client to be actively engaged in the process as much or as little as desired. I cannot recommend Kate highly enough. She’s truly made our house a home, a place where we can feel comfortable, proud and escape to.

I know nothing about design and it was a great relief when Kate arrived and managed the whole process for me. She designed my laundry and transformed it into a functional and really nice looking room. She did everything from the layout to picking colours, flooring and door handles. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for a great, fuss free designer.

She has a lovely manner that enables her clients to feel confident in the choices she offers. Kate is also a good listener, which is a rare attribute in Design.
