About Us

Make interior design was founded by Miranda Kewming in 2008. After studying interior design at RMIT, Miranda went on to work for leading Melbourne Interior Design firms. Miranda’s work emulates simplicity and balance, using hints of colour, combining natural and raw materials, without following trends. The consultancy’s design philosophy is based on clever planning, utilising space effectively, considering individual clients needs and expectations. It encompasses surrounding environments to create a unique identity, whether it is residential, retail, small space commercial or hospitality. Make interior design draws inspiration from travel, architecture, fashion, the ocean and art and is constantly absorbing new ideas and applying this to the designs.

As a building designer the external colors and interior finishes of our buildings are a very important component to complement the overall design. To acheive this we have engaged Make Interiors (Miranda Kewming) on many occations with outstanding results. Miranda is very pleasant to deal with, listens to the clients requirements and has the ability to tap into the style and theme of each project.

Make Interiors Miranda from Make Interiors was wonderfully helpful in assisting us select fittings and fixtures for our new home, plus in selecting internal and external paint colours. We had never built a new home before and we would have been overwhelmed with the products available without Miranda's advice and careful selection of options after listening to what we wanted. An amazing person who worked very well with our competing demands delivering an excellent outcome. The design outcome has been acknowledged by our friends as one of the best they have seen. We then invited Miranda to advice us on our second house, particularly with the selection of furniture. In both house (Inverloch and Rosanna) we are extremely happy with the outcomes. Miranda selected all the colours and flooring for our new house. She listened to what we wanted - which was not very specific or detailed, we were not entirely sure what we wanted! Her first story board was bang-on. We did not need to ask her to change a single thing. Without exception, everone who came into our new house on completion, commented how much they loved the colour scheme. Hiring Miranda was one of the best decisions we made in the whole building process. It took a huge burden of stress from our shoulders and we ended up with a result we love. Certainly money well spent. I would recommend Miranda to everyone.
