I had gotten to a place in my life where it was time to downsize. For me, being on my own, it was important to make my new space “my own”, that reflected me and how I wanted my space to feel. I looked at Pinterest and other sites only to become very confused. I had often thought about having an interior designer but thought I couldn’t justify the price. One of the sites I did look at was Houzz and noticed there were numerous designer's work on the site. I was drawn to Michelle’s work as it very much reflected the style I was looking for, and as luck would have it, she was local. Michelle had an amazing offer for a mood board, that meant that the design was within my budget. She spent time with me face to face and came back with some suggestions, which we fine-tuned together. Once we had both agreed on the final plan, Michelle was able to send me the link to all the furniture and items. I could not be more delighted with the result. Michelle is a beautiful person, so easy to work with, I can’t speak more highly of her.

I have worked with Michelle on many projects with different clients. I find her a very knowledgeable and personable designer with very good relationships with her clients. She can take her clients ideas, present them with alternatives and give clarity (and beautiful results!). I would highly recommend her as an Interior Designer

This was our first time working with an interior designer and Michelle took the time at the beginning to explain the process. Initially it took some work to settle on what we wanted but Michelle’s great suggestions for retailers who had items in the style we were looking for was a great help and she worked with our selection as well as a few of her own. When things didn’t quite go to plan, there was no issue for her follow up and get things changed of fixed. Michelle was was not at all pushy and easy to work with. We are very happy with the final result.

We were very fortunate to find Michelle to assist us with our kitchen renovation, and new flooring for the dining and living areas, which was a little daunting to take on ourselves. Conversations with Michelle made the process easy, as she is very knowledgeable and has a great eye for colour and texture, offering various options she felt would suit us and the project and she was very supportive of our final choices. Michelle was very easy to talk to, and a delight to work with and we are very excited to be enjoying our new kitchen and living space very soon.

Michelle has been working in partnership with Di Lorenzo since we opened our Cooks Hill showroom over 2 years ago. She is a delight to have in the showroom, and is always very friendly and professional. Michelle is an excellent communicator, making the process seamless for her clients by her thoughtful selections, guiding them to our showroom when needed, facilitating payments, and arranging deliveries. Additionally, she keeps us informed about final selections and project schedules, ensuring efficient coordination. We look forward to continuing to work with Michelle and her clients in the future.

Michelle supported my partner and I to design our bathroom and ensuite renovations as well paint choices for the rest of our house. When we starting looking at ideas we both had very different thoughts on what we envisioned for the spaces. We realised pretty quickly we needed some expertise. Michelle's details were provided by 2 different people, one a major local supplier, the other the owner of the business doing the bathroom and ensuite reno's. We can't speak highly enough of Michelle, her professionalism and total understanding of our style and the types of textures and colours we are drawn to. This gave us confidence to work together with her to land on choices that my partner and I both love and will look amazing when the renovations are completed. Michelle's experience in design and colour helped us to avoid otherwise regrettable selections we would have made. Michelle went above and beyond in what we agreed to and we deeply appreciate her commitment. When we considered Michelle's modest fee and the really beautiful end result, it was well worth, what we consider (as a percentage of the total renovation) a small investment to have our place looking and feeling like "our place" and something we will love for years to come.

I was feeling so overwhelmed making decisions about completing my apartment to make it a wow factor! Removing the carpet and replacing with floorboards and new furnishings. Michelle, did such an incredible job of providing mood boards and sending furnishing options that have all worked amazingly together! Overall great experience. Thank you for the help!

My husband and I purchased a gorgeous property about 18 months ago for the purpose of being a holiday home / Airbnb. I decorated myself as best I could to get it up and running. Each time we went there, I looked around and it just didn't have the vibe or the edge I wanted and I really envied the interior of other Air BnB's we stayed in. I wanted to give it an uplift but didn't know where to start and don't "really" have that skill, even though I am artistic. I looked at hiring an interior designer for a while, but just like the display home villages, I found that they all just looked the same. I wanted a house styled by an interior designer, that didn't 'look' like an interior designer had styled the house (weird, I know). Anyway, I stumbled across Michelle's profile and I finally saw something I liked. I spoke to Michelle and she got me. I explained to her what I wanted and what I didn't want. When we met on-site for the initial consultation, I knew I'd found the one, and I didn't look back. Michelle is a very talented lady, and I am absolutely thrilled with what she's done. She gives her guidance and expertise, but still afforded us a bit of our own creative input. She is professional and totally down to earth all in one package. Nothing was too much trouble. She even did a two-hour return trip with me to pick up a coffee table that didn't arrive and lights we decided to add on the spur of the moment. I would recommend Michelle without hesitation to anyone that wants to create a special space and doesn't have the skill or knowledge to do it on their own. You won't get a cookie cutter design or a "gone fishing" sign in your beach house! I look forward to working with Michelle again in the near future when I build my own home. After spending weeks looking for ideas online and trying to sketch my own ideas for a small bedroom and not getting anywhere, I reached out to Michelle for help. I was looking for support on room layout, colours, window covering and styling that would make the room suit the personality while tying into the rest of the house. I had come across Michelle through her work with the Newcastle Flower Markets and liked how she incorporated personal pieces into styling rather than just buying something that looked nice, but had zero meaning. The visual aid of the mood boards Michelle produced after the initial consult gave me confidence that she had understood my needs, but she was also very open to my own suggestions and modifications to make sure the end result was just want I wanted. Michelle sourced the majority of the major pieces and also installed them, which was worth every penny! She was very flexible with the project timing as we needed to spread out the cost over several months and very generous with her knowledge of interior design and style, so I was also learning about my own personal style and how to bring it to life along the way. Our project ended up incorporating 2 bedrooms, an office and a living space which we all love.

We found Michelle by sheer luck through a google search when we needed help to get a new kitchen and bathroom renovation for a home we bought while we were still living in the UK. Doing such large work remotely, we needed to find someone we could trust to get a quality job done on time and to budge. We were very lucky to have found Michelle who did just that and more. Michelle found us the best trades in the local area and helped with the design of both the kitchen and bathroom. She kept us up to date with regular communication, alerting us to construction issues, providing design advice and progress photos that greatly reassured us. The finishes that Michelle achieved with the suppliers is outstanding and surpassed our high expectations. We highly recommend working with Michelle on any project you have, large or small. She's great.

Before we engaged Michelle, the space didn’t feel like it fitted together. It was disjointed with a variety of furniture pieces and styles between myself and my husband. And the colour scheme was off which made the space feel small and dark. A friend of mine had worked closely with Michelle and recommended her to us so it made sense to connect with Michelle. I didn’t have a clear picture of what I wanted to do with the space, or what my actual style preference was. Michelle not only took the time to listen to and take onboard what we liked, but worked “with” us to bring to life our space, using some of our existing artwork and furniture, and providing great vision as to what the space could be through her mood boards and investing the time to provide options. The end decision was ours, but she definitely helped us identify what we liked and then worked with all of the different suppliers to obtain the pieces we wanted and took control over the logistics, saving us a heap of time. Michelle was also great in referring other trades to help bring our space to life. We now have a beautiful space that aligns so much better with our style. It’s fresh, bright and really flows from one space to the other. We had concerns that the space may end up with an “display home” feel and not homely, but again, Michelle listened to what was important to us to keep on display, and our storage needs, and worked with us and the space to achieve a really positive outcome. The finer details in the final styling and plants have just given it that “new life” as well, while ticking the box keeping it our space. Highly recommend anyone wanting to make a change to their space to get in contact with Michelle, or if you really don’t know what you want, Michelle is the person that can help you understand what your style is and then guide you along the way!
