We worked with Penman Brown on an extensive renovation of our Tamarama home. We are incredibly happy with the outcome, both the design and quality of workmanship. It was been a great experience for us, with an amazing end result. Megan and her team of staff and trades were knowledgeable, experienced and professional. The process was always collaborative and the project was delivered on time and on budget. We would highly recommend using Penman Brown. We spent the summer in our newly renovated home and felt like we were away at a beautiful resort by the ocean. Megan absolutely landed the brief.

Having recently undertaken an extensive renovation, the renovation was everything we had asked for, the house looked fabulous and was functional, but it just didn’t feel right. We wanted a home that the whole family would feel good in, a home that reflected the location and our personality. Megan came in and transformed the house into something amazing and we just absolutely love it. Megan’s layering has made the space feel inviting and more interesting, the layers, textures, fabrics, wallpaper, all the different elements bought into the house has made it amazing. Megan went the extra mile she even did the garden and the plants and that made such a difference. Dan and I love the open plan living and the indoor outdoor feel Megan created, we also like the fact that although we are a family of 5, there’s a place for everyone to go, to have their own space, but still be together. We love the feel of the house that relaxed beach feeling, it’s like being in a resort. It’s something we feel proud of because Megan added that extra element. Even the children have commented that it feels like a real home, they love everything about it.

I adore being in my home. Megan has created a beautiful space for our family to live in. As well as advising on design and finishes she sourced both hard and soft furnishings, perfectly mixing contemporary with antiques, and eclectic originals, whilst cleverly incorporating our existing pieces. Megan created many bespoke items such as ottomans, cushions, tables and my absolute favourite; a to die for oversized pendant light in the most amazing Sonia Rykiel fabric. She designed an outdoor living area that has transformed the way we live, adding an entirely new dimension to our home, her design extended to the smallest details right down to the trees, plants, pots and mood lighting. Megan is truly talented. She is artistic, enthusiastic about colour, texture and pattern, and finding that “perfect piece”. She incorporated her passion and knowledge of the industry with my own sense of style and functional requirements. Megan worked at a pace and time frame that suited me which made it not just possible to achieve what I wanted within my very busy family life but made it an enjoyable and inspiring experience. We hosted an important function in our home just after we had completed the project, and the interior design was the hot topic of the night.

It's fantastic (and also a great relief!) when you find an interior designer who understands exactly what you want - and helps guide you in areas where you're not quite sure! Such was our experience with Megan Penman Brown. From the first consultation, we felt Megan knew what sort of look we wanted to achieve in in our home. From there, she came up with wonderful options for us, including fabrics I would never have considered, only to find they were perfect. Megan was happy to take on the design of our apartment at our pace, and understood if we felt a suggestion was beyond our budget. We were so happy with Megan's work, we have asked her to help us in our new apartment!

She is able to work well to a brief, striving for perfection in everything she does - whilst being realistic and pragmatic at the same time. She takes the time to understand what you are aiming for and guides you in the direction. She knows what is worth spending money on, and where you can save, to ensure the end product is something you will absolutely love. Her style is both timeless and modern, chic but comfortable. I'd highly recommend her to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

Megan helped tweak our architectural plans to create a more functional and spacious design. She helped us imagine the size and feel of our rooms. The Architect fully agreed that her tweaks improved the plans. Megan's ideas were just incredible and made me feel so much better about our dream home. Megan came to the rescue again to help me design the lay out of our kitchen. She is so professional, knowledgeable and wastes no time. I will be calling on her expertise to help with the interior design soon.
