TCD studio is a full service design company, focusing on boutique residential design and E-design. I am a qualified Interior Designer across residential, retail, hospitality and commercial portfolios.
I received my Bachelor of Interior Design (Hons ) at the University of Technology in Sydney and started working for a large international firm on key commercial projects. From there I moved to Dublin Ireland where I worked on a range of prominent projects, including spaces within the New Dublin Performing Arts Centre, the restaurant and cafe to historical Trinity University, Penthouse apartments, larger scale residential developments, popular retail stores, chain retail outfits, and more.
From here I moved to the United States with my now husband and moved into commercial design consultancy. Simultaneously, I joined the New England Institute of Art in Boston as an adjunct professor, teaching various design disciplines. My passion for residential design started thriving during this period. I now reside in the Sunshine Coast where my focus on residential and commercial design continues to thrive. My depth of skill when it comes to designing unique homes comes from years of working with varied professionals and clients. The spaces I work on are detailed accurately, with an emphasis on both functionality and beauty. From start to finish I complete plans and elevations / detail cabinetry / complete lighting and electrical plans where needed / finishes / with complete and detailed finishes schedules for builders where required / chose electrical equipment and of course furniture and finishes. ( including custom furniture ) I have a keen sense of materials and enjoy working in accordance sustainable principles.
Personally, I am attentive, patient and driven by detail. More importantly I listen and respond to the needs of my clients. It's a relationship that I take seriously. This is the process I love, forming relationships, taking conversations and turning them into a physical product that can change the way we live our lives ; adding functionality and beauty.
Alongside great design, I bring excellent communication and management skills. Striving to ensure each phase of the design process runs smoothly and transparently is fundamental to my process, as is enjoying the journey in equal measure to the beautifully finished product.
