“The experience we had having Carmen from Collaborative interiors designing our house was beyond words but I’m going to try and do it justice in this review all the same. From the very start, we found Carmen was open to our ideas, our lifestyle and suggestions. She contributed to the layout of the rooms in the preliminary drawing of plans in a manner that allowed us to have the living area we always desired. Given that our renovation happened during the middle of the COVID mayhem didn’t make it easy to procure products and Carmen ensured everything we chose arrived and on time. Every part of our house has been designed tastefully and with us in mind. Furthermore, every room connects to another from a design perspective giving the overall effect of cohesion. Carmen was always a pleasure to work with, amenable to change of ideas on our part and always available when we panicked over things, with her ready, reassuring presence. Overall, I can say the the ‘proof of the pudding’ is in the experience we are currently having living in this beautiful home. And we definitely owe that stylish, comfortable conversion of house to home to her input in this project.”

“On working with Vivian on the Waterview House project, my family and I had concepts of what we wanted to achieve within the kitchen space, but no real decisions had been made other than the selection of appliances and layout when Vivian came on board. We really didn't know what materials or light fixtures we necessarily wanted to use. Vivian has a natural aptitude in facilitating and nurturing ideas/concepts into something tangible. The end product not only met our expectations, but truly took it to a place we didn't foresee. Vivian was great at putting together a colour palette that simply worked to the features of the kitchen. The assistance with selecting the light coloured paint for the walls complimented the open space, where the silver metallic feature wall in the bar area gave the space a striking industrial feel - this was further complimented with the selection of aluminium bar stools and lighting fixtures. At first we weren't sure if this industrial feel would work for us, but the combination of subtitle elements mixed with the warm inviting wood veneer along the kitchen island and bar really made it an inviting space and a pleasant surprise. Essentially, Vivian supplied us with options, beautifully thought-out options. This was exactly what we wanted, we didn't feel pressured to make a certain choice and it was very much a collaborative approach, which we appreciated. Vivian reminded us that whatever recommendations she made, our choices were at the end of the day ours and we had to love the space we were creating as we would be the ones left to enjoy it. I would without a doubt recommend Vivian to anyone; she was a pleasure to work with.”
