Pauline has a BA Degree in Industrial Design from RMIT Pauline has over 10 years design experience in the cabinetry field, having been the head designer for two of Ballarat's leading joiners.

Pauline has now designed two kitchens for me, and I find her to be very easy to work with, and open to us sharing ideas and coming up with solutions to some complex design issues. I had quite definite ideas on the look I wanted and she generously guided me to help achieve the feel I was after…she has lots of good solutions and knowledge of products available . I found her always prompt in returning my calls to discuss and clarify things along the way. The end result is really beautiful, elegant and functional.

Pauline took our job knowing from the outset she didn't have the qualifications to provide building plans. 4 months, and over $3000 later we had to start again. Be aware, particularly if you live in the Ballarat region, a building permit is required for most renovations.

Hi Leanne,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

I strive to provide innovative designs for all my clients. Under normal circumstances builders and joiners work from the plans, elevations, and 3D images that I provide and there is no need for an additional draughts person.

However your renovation required an unexpected building permit which did not form part of the initial brief. I would be happy to provide you with the Victorian building law which shows internal structures do not require permits.

I always quote a fixed fee at the beginning of a project and do not charge for additional time if a project runs over. Your project was particularly challenging and I worked significantly longer hours than I allotted so that we could achieve a kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and mudroom layout that you were very happy with.

Pauline came up with a brilliant design for our new kitchen, pantry and laundry. We would never have thought to lay it out that way. The sense of space and light she was able to create was just amazing considering the awkward space we had to work with. She also had great advice on materials, colours and fittings. Our study design is also amazing. The layout makes the best of the views and the natural light. It was a bit if a challenge to design a desk to fit within the bay windows, but it turned out beautifully. She was also happy to make as many changes as we requested until we were perfectly happy. I would not design another space without her!!

We were absolutely paralysed when it came to redesigning our kitchen. We had lived in the house for 25 years and were always talking about what we could do ... however there were so many options. Too many really. Take out a wall, take out 2 walls or even take out 3 walls and open the old space up completely. And what to do with the bay window! Pauline listened and came up with a couple of simple designs and really got us motivated to hire a cabinet maker and builder. And the new kitchen is so workable. And beautiful. And just in case you are wondering .. we took out one wall! That was all it needed. Colleen
