The tiler [name witheld] knows how to tile, but he is just unreliable, never on time, or bothered to communicate effectively. They started my bathroom tiling, but they multitask, doing other customer jobs at the same time. If yours is a smaller job with a lower margin you will get pushed to the bottom of the queue. Example of unreliability Sunday 2/10/16: Txt: "I will start on Tuesday morning", Didnt show up!. Wednesday 5/10/16: Txt: "I will be coming on Friday 10am", Didnt show up!. Friday 7/10/16: 10am: Txt: "I will be there at 2pm Friday", Didnt show up! Sunday 9/10/16: (the manager): Txt: "We will finish the job by the end of the (following) week", They never showed up! so I found another tiler to finish the job. They also tried to overcharge me by referencing Terms and Conditions that weren't in the original quote. In addition to the above, Pro Tech Tiling, sent an invoice to me with a 5% Job Delay Fee of $300, on a quote of $950 inc, less $500 already paid. Obviously the managers accounting/maths skills are questionable. So don't be duped by their threats of legal action or dubious claims. The manager also emailed me a $550 demand for payment on a fraudulent VCAT letterhead.
