Clever Closet Company

Sally helped us with designing our kitchen, three bathrooms and master bedroom including creating a walk in wardrobe with integrated dresser / makeup bench. She developed the layout and generated renders so we could picture the end product. She accompanied us at the tile shop to choose tiles, helped match tap colours, helped pick kitchen cabinet materials, matching textures, picking floorboards and advised on curtains. These were all important design decisions. We would have made odd choices had it not been for Sally's guidance. We appreciate how patient she was with teaching us about colours, textures and what goes well vs what doesn't. She also created detailed design documents that our builder was able to construct to. She helped us co-ordinate the colours throughout the whole house. This was important as we learnt from Sally the importance of keeping a connecting theme across the rooms, without necessarily "overdoing" a particular element e.g. Having Terrazzo in all bathrooms. Additionally she helped put us in contact with other trades and designers so we could get their input or obtain a competitive quote. We really appreciate Sally's flexibility. Our builder discovered things as we began demolition which required some design changes which made it cheaper to modify the design to accommodate. Sally took these easily in her stride and made creative changes to the design which we really liked. It was very comfortable working with Sally. It was our first time engaging a designer. We appreciate that Sally took the time to explain design concepts, design principles, and the considerations that went into the recommendation. Importantly at no time did we feel pressured to accept a choice. At all times it felt like Sally was improving and guiding us towards what we wanted. The end result was amazing. She helped transform a neglected house that could not attract any buyers (apart from us) into what now feels like a resort. In fact it's hard to justify leaving the house for holidays now because going almost anywhere else means spending time in a place that's less nice than the home that Sally helped create for us. If you're looking for an expert to help you design your house, then I would highly recommend Sally. She is a caring, patient, creative interior designer that will look after you, your family and your home.

Sally and Jenna were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were through and incredibly detailed when researching and ascertaining what our needs and requirements were for our walk in wardrobe. Sallys experience and knowledge is amazing, we had a tricky space to work with and she came up with a brilliant functional plan. Joinery can be a costly investment, it is well worth getting the planning right at the start, so there is no regrets later. We would happily recommend Sally's services.

Sally was a pleasure to deal with and created a solution for our walk in wardrobe that I would have been unable to imagine myself. We now have a study that doubles as a wardrobe based on a design that opens up our bedroom and makes the whole space feel bigger as well as being more functional. From the very beginning, Sally approached the project with enthusiasm and great ideas. the first thing she asked me was what did I want to do /store in this study. She continued with this collaborative approach, so the final design was something that I felt was what I wanted for this space. The design included floor to ceiling cupboard, several bookcases, glass cabinets and an awesome desk with drawers. All along, Sally was focused on the design, with a desire to make this a very workable place. I also engaged someone she referred to me to build the furniture who proved an absolute craftsman. I could not be happier with the result and look forward to spending lots of time in this otherwise unusable space! We found Sally on Houzz when we were looking for walk in wardrobe ideas. We are in a Californian bungalow semi and were turning two existing bedrooms into a master bedroom with walk through wardrobe and ensuite. We had limited space and had to deal with existing double brick walls and windows and wanted to make sure we made the most of the various areas. We initially got Sally out for a face to face to chat through the space and get her thoughts/ideas/options. She pointed out some things we wouldn't have otherwise thought about (we ended up moving an entire doorway) and she was able to list pros and cons of various decisions. She went on to to design the wardrobe layout for us and help us select finishes and arranged quotes for the work. Sally was very professional. She is very responsive on email and I would use Sally again.

Sally was recommended to us by a friend who had used her to design a study. From the moment that Sally visited us for the preliminary meeting, we knew we were in the hands of an expert. She was attentive, thoughtful, creative and a great listener. She took time to understand our needs. Interestingly, whilst the original brief was for a wardrobe, the more pressing need was a redesign of the laundry/toilet/shower area, and so we changed the project halfway through. Sally came up with a way of opening up what was previously a small, dysfunctional laundry and adjacent toilet/shower area within a large home and making it into something that would look great in Home Beautiful. Sally’s use of her design tools to create a visual representation of the final product helped us understand how it would feel once completed - the similarities between the design drawings and the outcome were amazingly close. I cannot recommend Sally enough. As soon as we started talking I knew that she got me, and that she understood what a glamorous wardrobe would look and feel like. Her design and plans were creative, impeccable and practical. She has designed a wardrobe I love, all of my clothes and items are stunningly presented as well as accessible. The space was on the small side, but she has optimised the potential of the area without making it feel cramped. The finishing touches she recommended also added to the sense of glamour and elegance.
